My vid card meets Minimum but not Recommended. Already planning on upgrading my 5770 to a 6850 just for this game so I can run it at recommended spec. Everything else in my compy is already golden to run it.

please can you guys delete these posts and just mail them a repeated message/
Please read minimun specs.....

So far on TS I havn't hear one person go.... this ain't right support should be for all gamers...
Devs asked us what we think and I belive everyone agreed that old machines should not be supported.
tbh it is, those specs are too low in my books. Codes have to be written to support computers that should have been handed down a year ago. Its not hard to get a cheap grpahics card, ram, cpu.
If you can't meet those specs, then your not a gammer. You spend little to no time on your machine/or have to feed a family.

This isn't your daddy's F2P. The developers have already said this is a shift in thinking on the F2P model.

And the specs say an 8800GT as minimum from Nvidia which is comparable to the HD5670 (considering the 5000 series) so the HD5770 should be able to run with acceptable framerate/graphical quality.

This will run on my Dell laptop that i bought a while ago. If you are playing games on a pc, you do actually need to spend a little cash to keep up with the times.

I actually don't often play PC games anymore, so I don't have a dedicated gaming rig. The laptop i bought myself FOR WORK PURPOSES will still be able to run this game.

Its built on the cryengine 3, im not sure what u where expecting, but given engine used, yea, its about what I expected, and not unreasonable.

u can build a 300-400 dollar computer that can easily run this game, and if its an upgrade, your pc is old indeed.

Flippin heck... I am so gutted I won't be able to play it. I thought it would run off a C90 into my Speccy.

Seriously my machine cost me 300 quid to build and looks like it will be able to run it fine. It's not a huge amount of money for most people, (for some though I imagine it is) if you are serious about gaming. But I take it you are all paying for fast Internet connections already etc.

If not buy a second hand 360 for 50 quid and a PC cable for high rez graphics. Lots of good nice games on there, not this one, but a cheap good gaming alternative.

For folks moaning about it not being able to run on their Laptop / IPad / PC without a dedicated gaming graphics card etc... erm...

It's kind of like expecting a PC without a specialist sound card to be any use for recording music at home.

Or a Reliant Robin having any chance of winning the Monaco Grand Prix.

They are not designed to run games.

I wouldn't expect it to run on the Netbook I am typing this on and that is a PC. I always think of my gaming PC as being like my XBOX and my laptop as being for work etc.

Folks nees to stop thinking because it has Windows on it. Everything should run on it.

As long as they can run Facebook whilst I am doing work, that is fine.

Honestly I'd consider this game fairly reasonable spec. If you have a somewhat alright gaming computer that's a years old, it'll probably still be runnable at the least, which is pretty solid.

It's 2012. If you don't have a rig with AT LEAST a 8800GT and 4GBs of RAM, you've got bigger frikken problems than not being able to run MWO. Hell, I built this machine SIX YEARS AGO and it beats the living crap out of these recommended specs.

I'm amaed though, to see a game's recommended spec coming so close to my own rig though, that was a first. It's a good thing I'm running 12GB at DDR3 and a 295 instead of a 285.

To be honest, in this day and age the specs for this game are in no way particularly demanding for the majority of PC gamers. In fact they're fairly standard or maybe even a bit below. I purchased my laptop nearly 18 months ago and it still exceeds most parts of the recommended specs, the only upgrade I made to it was increasing the RAM (which was relatively cheap).

And as it's F2P, save up all that money that would have been spent on a subscription and use it to upgrade your desktop. Unless your PC is 4+ years old and never been upgraded or your purchased a standard sort of office word processing PC then most the upgrades I imagine you'd have to make to get the thing running semi-decently are not going to cost you a great deal (although if you can't fit them yourself then labour costs will likely hike the price up).

I just buy my new rig (i5-3570k @ 4.4Ghz, 8 Gigs of ram, Radeon 7950 OC), and readed the game open beta and release postponed... :)

I'm not happy... :P

it doesnt really matter, but the point was not the fact they have or have not licensed said engine, thats not in dispute, i was pointing out the correction of my use of cryengine 3 was in error, and the wording I used was taken from said companys website, and thats what I have been calling it.

Sorry, no big deal, carry on

if you look at the graphics of the games etc; it's totally normal XD
i mean, where in 2012, the most can play the game without isseus...
and if you don't have a strong enough pc, yeah, you can't play... MWO can't give you a new pc...
you just have to accept it :) it's by a lot of games....

ps: 1/10 can't play it, so:

9/10 of the people can play it + stuning graphics
or
everyone can play it, but very bad graphics...

:P greetzzzz,
chaos

i bought my laptop over a year ago now, it has 2 dx 11 video cards (radeon hd 6900s) in crossfire, with 2 gigs of memory on each, a quad i7 @ 3.2 ghz stock, self overclocks itself to 3.6 ghz when it has call too. 12 gigs of ddr 3 ram @ 1333 mhz. ive installed a 120 gig ssd to kill load times, and have a terrabyte of bulk storage @ 7200 rpm. the min/rec of mwo is nothing, its a triffling pittance, itll run on a fancey calculator. if you have a computer for gaming on itll run this game.

You do know that not all people can afford a laptop like what you have plus you don't have to be a fat headed a-hole and say things like "it's a pittance" & "it'll run on a fancy calculator" This will just make people dislike you :)

Shoot so much hate! I got my HD4850 card in 2008 and I'm sure it will handle this fine, if only for the fact I can play Diablo 3 on good settings. Also 8800GT was released a VERY long time ago, having this as min card spec for a new game based on a great engine is fine (I think). This isn't some throw together F2P game created with the vague intention of being fun, this is a well crafted game created by some dedicated individuals, who want to make people immersed in the game play environment.

Take away the sweet graphics and we may as well be beating each other with pixels
