Patch Day - December 3Rd - LIVE!

Looking forward to seeing Oxide pilots skim the battlefields looking for lonely non-ECM lights, the only thing they can try to kill. I sure as hell hope the hero Hunchback that's been pushed back by this "beast" (lol) won't be ruined like this.
Otherwise, good stuff. Thong fixes are bound to help the affected mechs, and more accurate weapon geometry on Jenners is welcome. Thanks, but please don't make heroes so gimped in the future. We've had Ilya, Misery and Heavy Metal in this game, why can't we keep getting heroes that, while not overpowered, offer some unique AND viable configuration? Please, take note, PGI.

imagine that there are at least 2 or 3 these jenners running around in light lance with XL300 and BAP... and think what it is going to make with competitive gaming, when you don't have to sacrifice additional tonnage for light hunters such as SHD-2D2 and KTO-18.
That means that teams that don't have a few hero jenners won't be able to leave their base, because any other light lance would be destroyed by these jenners without any significant effort or skill.
It's not exactly easy to go 150 while aiming streaks in a mech with no side to side arm movement.

I don't like the initial setup of the hero mech as is because it looks bad as a 1st impression. you might have to tweak this mech to your liking should you buy it.
I've pulled something similar to my Locust-3S but with all missle hardpoints being 4x 2SRMs.
As for the champion highlander...I've seen better builds.

Exactly, There will no longer be a need to regulate a 55 ton mech to deal with lights.
Not when you can get a 35 ton mech that pushes the same speed for for less weight.

If your 3rd Highlander was going to be a 733C anyway, you can still grind XP in the trial version and just wait to apply it when you actually own that variant.

The Jenner hero can still use a 300XL engine, despite the accel nerf.

The downtime seems suspiciously long for what appears at face value to be mostly small changes....

Nice move PGI. Continue ruining this game. You did a great job so far.

It's a light that can be loaded out as an anti-light. 150kph w/4 streaks, it's gonna wreck other lights. Compared to the commando, it's only 1 more missile but it's also got more armor. Gonna have more missiles and be able to stay on target longer.

If it had ECM, that would at least make it a beast of a SSRM2 delivery vehicle, but without? BAP only goes so far. Missile hit registration (or missile HSR, I neither know nor care which is actually the problem) is terrible. A "SplatJenner" scares nobody.
Pretty sure streaks hit all the time and don't have to deal with HSR. We'll see if it's P2W or not soon enough.

Like there arn't enough reasons to play a Highlander already? Like there isn't a strong case for using a Jenner, if you're going light, already. I'm not saying that these designs are p2w or even especially good, just that many other designs are becoming that "rarely seen dodo" and probably need more attention. Stop milking your community by focus on the assaults you can charge the most mc for too.
...and fix the matcher, and all that other stuff too.
plz

My post was meant to be a little more tongue in cheek. At the end of the day, it's quite likely that this Hero mech will fall in the middle of the spectrum of P2W and DOA, as most things that get labeled in this manner often do.
Edit: More things have had a chance of being DOA than P2W however, as nothing released as of yet can meet that classification anyways.

Last few patches on Tuesday have been over an hour long down time. It's pretty standard.

NP. Just to be clear, you do earn it, you just can't apply it. So you could buy one, apply the XP you earned on the trial champ and sell it immediately.
Now, why you don't want to keep the 733C, that I can't understand.
Yeah I'm still looking which Highlander to get as third one, so yeah it may be a 733C from what I read in the forums.
