Madcat, kinda obvious one....


Cyclops? Stretch but the arms make me think odd things.


With the NGNG post though it makes me think that it is just a madcat or some clan mech. The only alternative is that it is some sort of comstar exclusive mech.

Honestly, my theory is intentional leak, plus bait'n'switch. Make you think it's going to be a MadCat/Timberwolf, reveal it to be new Hunchback Hero, with double hunch. And while it will attract interest, I'm thinking PGI will have to deal with fall out from the people that feel they were screwed with. The fact that it's a "leak" will simply give them plausible deniability.

There's always a chance that someone took a screen cap of a new Hunchie Hero, someone noticed what the shadow looked like, cropped the image, and passed out the link as a joke, and that it really was an unauthorized leak.

I can't help but think that MadCat is probably the least likely possibility.

Agreed. After looking at the screenshot of the wvr-6r I really think its the wvr-7k with its dual shoulder hunches and the arm cannon. Not to mention it will be in game on Tuesday...

look at your upper arms again.

Definitively not a Wolverine, as it has those massive upper arm shields.

I just do not get the meaning of those humanoid arms. One of the few Clan OmniMechs which i remember have hands.. is .. the Kit Fox! But it is smaller, shorter and with bird legs. So no.

deff not a timberwolf the arms appear to have hands. my guess would be a griffin.

Shadows are tricky. Although there definently looks to be well pronounced shoulders, it looks like a standard (front knee joint legged) walker.

It looks a bit narrow for a Mauler, but the shadow is stretched, so I could see it being a Mauler.

Hard to say.

BTW, I am pretty sure PGI leaked it intentionally. The pic lacks SO much detail, it seems like a teaser.

Ehhhh Still not sold. I no longer see a Mauler, but a rework of the Warhammer seems possible. I still don't like how the legs seem in the shadow. Plus the torso (when stretched like that) looks taller than what might apear on a Madcat (notice how long the arms are stretched, you would think the torso would jut WAY out for a Madcat). Also, the missile racks should seem taller I would think.

Of course this is all speculation anyway and who knows how the Traditional Madcat might be tweaked by PGI.

Still, I am not 100% sold on that being a Madcat.
