Just some minutes ago, I was on Caustic in a 7-11 (1 vs 5) situation in an LRM Oxide.

About 250 missiles left, and I was against an Atlas D-DC (with ECM), Raven 3L (with ECM), Ilya Muromets, Shadowhawk 2H and a Firestarter K. Things didn't look great. Fortunately, it was in Assault mode, and at that time the fight was pretty close to our base, so I retreated there. The 5 enemies apparently decided to rush the base and kill me.

The Shadowhawk was in pretty bad shape and one legged, so he fell quickly behind of their ECM bubbles, and I got to finish him. The Muromets was also outside a ECM somewhat fixated on destroying a turret, and I got him killed before he could retreat to safety. Now I only had 20 missiles left, and the D-DC in good health stormed our base. One alpha later I was out of ammo, and the Atlas was still very determined to squat me. It was time to get away, so I ran up the small hill just behind our base. There was this shallow recess right after the top, and I decided to stop there and see how things go.

The Atlas could not climb the steep little hill to follow me, and was suddenly in the middle of our base, being bombarded by the turrets without any means to get to kill me. So, there I stood in hiding, about 100m away of my enemies that were capping the base and destroying the turrets. The remaining turrets eventually killed all of them. Spontaneous LOLs ensued:



This wasn't by far a glorious match for me, I only scored those 2 kills and did a bit over 700 damage.

But getting 3 enemies killed without any ammo, weapons or modules, that is just priceless.

Had my best ever match in my DDC last night. 5 kills and 1100 dmg. on Frozen City in conquest mode. Unfortunately we still lost...

My pre-made had an epic come-back tonight. We had a Spider, a Raven, and me in a Gauss Jager.
Ended up 4-9 down because our team bottlenecked themselves in the tunnel on Crimson.

Still won...

Well, I think this one is worthy. Not the greatest but, considering circumstances it was pretty good.

This was my very first game with this mech. Normally it takes me getting smashed 20 times or so before I even find a build I like and how the mech handles. With this mech it was not the case.








If I can only figure out what to do with the 1S I will be happy. The 1n and 3m are great but, I can't do anything with the 1s.

Bragging maybe, but I just found it great to point out that meta doesn't mean anything.

Victor Dragonslayer: LRM10,LRM15, 2xLarge laser, Tag with a STD280. This is the first over 1K, but I have noticed this thing chews through a lot.

Pugland is where I live. Have a weird schedule so i don't get to play often. Wouldn't make sense to group up in my case.

BTW, that was with a Basic DS. I haven't been able to afford 2 more Victors yet. Any hints on which I should get to master these? Almost can afford my next one. I have been mainly a lights/meds pilot till now.

9S & 9B are virtually identical, except 9B has 3 Ballistics instead of 2 on the right arm.
9K has 1 ballistic but 3 Energy.

I would recommend the 9B & 9K for you, as they cover the rest of the spread of Victor play-styles.
9S makes a great Poptart, but DS is arguably better at it. 9B can do AC2-AC5-UAC5 which is a machine. 9K is a fun chassis for different Victor styles, but is usually the least popular just because 1 ballistic = gauss, and it can't fit an AC20 due to an extra actuator.

I suck at poptarting, which is why I went with the build I have. Unfortunately, it just makes me a big ol' target. I have to reach the right balance between distance and LOS for my tag to be effective.

Truth be told, after I posted that SS I have been on a hell of a losing streak all night. Think I have won two games since. Not just in the DS, either. Everything except my Thudderbolt is getting destroyed.

A guy in a Cicada 3M tried to be really clever with me earlier. I had tunnel vision for about 5-6 seconds-I know...duh!
He snuck up and blew a leg off my firestarter. He then thought he'd be real clever and drop an arty strike on me as I tried to limp away...except duuuurr smart guy I have jump jets. So I jet up and away from the main mass of the strike. Then his chum comes at me in his FS and I promptly put my 8 medium lasers into his CT and kill him, I then limp towards my mate in his shadowhawk who is being ganked by captain arrogant in his 3M. Sadly for clever boy he fails to notice me. I alpha him with my lasers right in his ST BOOM.

Should not have been so sure of yourself, 3M Fool.

Was derping around in my BJ-3 mini poptart (2 PPCs and 4 small lasers) on Caustic. Saw a Battlemaster peeking over the ridge from the crater fire missiles at me. I knew his CT was already open, so I went for the center of what I could see of him.

when all your team struggles to get over 400 dmg and the "evil premades" are on the loose. which laser boat can you rely on?



same layout as my 5-m i refuse to be goverened by ghost heat.

okay I don't like bragging but it's been a while for a 1K club achievement and after a bad streak of carry harder matches I was finally able to pull it off.

note; pay 2 win comparison there. clearly P2W means nothing here as it's the pilot that seperates the misery from the misery.
