It boils down to many, too many take the easy road. Why would you form up in 12 mans and fight equal opponents when you can drop in smaller groups and crush pugs?

There are plenty of premades dropping non stop who could move up to a skill based fight but they won't. Its called cowardice as it easier to bully pugs and earn more than really challenge oneself.

Just look at the wrecking crew here on the forums fighting tooth and nail to keep it the same as yesterday. Biggest cowards of the bunch with a majority sharing the same house. PGI could change this system and push the exploiters to really fight but they wont because of these guys making sure they suppress anything that runs counter to their goals,

I would like to work my way up to competition play by joining a team but I will not join a team to exploit pugs for profit. So far each one I have been invited to join is going the easy route. I just wont do it.

I would like to thank those who run in the big leagues. You teach me a lot when I watch your matches and read you posts on the forums Someday I do hope to stand alongside you in battle.

It's not like there is one premade dominating the entire game in a sea of lone wolves. It's the opposite. Most matches are chock full of premades with just an occasional lone wolf filling out the empty spots.

So when you see a team 12-0 your side, it's not a pug stomp. Your team likely had just as many premades.

You guys want to know why there is a problem with 12 mans? It is due 100% to Piranha completely ignoring the group finding interface and the chat interface.

When you queue up, you should immediately be given the option of joining a queue to join a group. You should be able to list your role: brawler, sniper, skirmisher, scout. From there the group leader would have the option to add you to a group. This functionality should also be extended to 12 mans.

Its a very basic thing that is included in all modern Online games, but for Piranha, you know the company that could not enable backspace to delete characters all at once in the chat line, it might be too hard for them to program. You know, quality C+/C# programmers cost money and Maya programmers are cheap.

Dude, when I get an invite to join a group, I can't tell I'm in a 12-man group unless there's at least 4 other guys there!

Yup.

Last night we had a group keen to play our 12 man, but they wanted a 500 ton drop limit (ie very light).

We agreed and spent sometime figuring out our mechs.

So we drop.... and as luck would have it one other team was in the queue and we got them 3 times in a row. Fun times fighting a mass of assaults and heavy's when we had 1 heavy and zero assaults.

I can't believe there is still no lobby in an online only, pvp only, game.

HEAD.
IS.
BLOWN.

This thread should be titled: "Why should 4-man-prems get all the troll-fun? What's it gonna take to shoehorn my whole 12-man into the PUG and call it fair?"

As I understand it, it may actually be sooner than you think when UI 2.0 is upon us.

Regular 12-man groups will play with other smaller premades and PUGs. Nothing good will come of this.

My team does 12-mans three times a week and we almost never have issues. Some nights we'll face the same few teams several times and occasionally we'll fail to find a match, but usually things are pretty smooth. I'm kind of surprised at how disastrous 12-mans are for most other players here; my team must have incredible luck.

You will never have a lot of 12 mans until you can stop premades making a career out of stomping pugs for profit. A couple of threads ago a pair of premade droppers were honest and said they did it for the grind and there was no reason to drop 12.
Purely exploiting the system for profit.
I fight these guys everyday and if they could not coordinate fire, call targets and make tactical moves in unison they would lose. One on one the vast majority of premades are no better than your average plug. Maybe worse.
This diminishes those who are good and have skills because there is no real way of telling unless you contest them directly.
I game Voip would help a great deal but in reality they need to be separate or give pugs the choice of dropping against them.

Until then we will bleed new players. That does not work to our advantage in keeping the game afloat. With recent news you can tell PGI is needing cash fast. Do you think chasing new players and pugs away is the answer? We can give every play style a fair shot if we try.

FYI Mud i mainly PUG and only recently joined a unit in the past week (and even then i pug more than i do 4/12 mans).
As for making a career stomping pugs. No. Just no.
Its amazing how you can simultaneously heap venom on 4mans (who use voip) AND say voip would be great.

We drop thursday evenings on EU time and there is usually half a dozen units in the queue, no problem getting a match.

Notice how the defenders of pug stomping use terms like "evil premades" or some other type of camouflage.

No one is saying premades are evil but that the few who do just exploit ruin it for everyone.

The premades who never communicate with the rest of their team or use them for bait. The premades bent on only stomping for profit and mocking those they wipe out is what give you all a bad rap.

So instead of trying to convince the bad apples to change, Trying to encourage more preamdes to move up to 12v you instead attack the messenger. I have played enough matches to see most of the guys here who are constantly mocking or ridiculing. Your true motives shine through though. We just want a fair shake, No crutches, no advantage., You clowns want control and domination. Fair play isnt in your vocabulary. You will go the way of PGI and the rest of the corruption so enjoy your time.

Well, this solves the problem of the long queue times for 12-mans.

I can not see how this could possibly cause any problems.
