I would like to add my two cents: I did not contribute to the Founders program because at the time, I had no idea the game even existed. Several months and dozens of patches later, I finally got into the game. I rather enjoy it, even now. And when the Phoenix package was offered, I gladly opted in. I have since then come to understand that I do not care to pilot Lights but the package did give me an opportunity to sample new weight classes and support the game all in one fell swoop.
I am not a Battletech/Mechwarrior fan. I have no real clue about the Clans, Inner Sphere factions, the technological differences between the two, omnimechs versus fixed hardpoints, or any of the fiction. What I do understand, though, is having fun with this game. Currently, that means stomping around in my various mechs, blasting huge gaping holes through enemy mechs, and getting my own face melted off because I charged when I should have stayed back. I like the inclusion of Clan mechs because it means more variety. Nothing more.
However, I have to concur with the vast majority of the posters here: the pricing for the package is unjustifiably high. I had previously purchased the Overlord package because the value was solid for what I was getting. I will not be getting any Clan packages for the opposite reason. While I could support $20 per tier, I cannot support $30 per tier. I will be content to wait for the standard variants to release in due time and spend my C-bills then.
Another sticking point, though, is the sheer scope of the tiers and the prices thereof. As it is now, all buyers are required to spend $240 in order to purchase both of the new Assault chassis. This is simply too much. Personally, I would rather be able to pick and choose the mechs I want and pay the appropriate amount than be forced to purchase over a dozen mechs I neither want nor would ever use. I have three Locusts that I barely touch as it is. Don't force me to purchase six more Lights just to get more Heavies and Assaults.
If you, PGI, dropped the price of the tiers to $20 each and allowed me to select which tiers I want, without having to buy all the ones underneath, I would gladly support the game with real world money. I feel very strongly about this. I want to support you. Let me do so.
In addition, I also agree with my fellow posters that the premium time that is currently on display for the upper tiers is rather lackluster. Increasing the total amount earned past the 90 day mark would, I feel, be incredibly beneficial to your future backers.

A big part of software development, especially in an Agile/Iterative environment, is managing your resources. You don't commit to your customer that you'll have certain features in certain Iterations, only to constantly overshoot.
Project management has been horrible.
This, we can agree on this.
And hope that they have it sorted out, soonTM

Basically the same what you could buy for $500, a new console or lots of complete games or a new GPU for my PC.
You should equate it to hookers / blow / booze instead. Imported stuff really doesn't show the difference.

The point was lack of man power...
And I did not mean to portray it as a battle field, but more of a Garrison to fix the [REDACTED] so it can be used.
But hey, different views.
They have 40 dedicated developers. Much better and more complicated games have been made with far less. First rule, hire good people and not all college interns.

Want my feedback? **** you there's my feedback. Fire your advertising team and get a more honest one.
You can go back and check my posting history, I do not have a history of criticizing PGI. But this, very honestly, was not cool.

You won't feel cheated in June when they go on sale for $250 for each gold mech? Since PGI did not say, maybe it is only the price that is limited? lol

Ever been in game development? Acting like spoiled children isn't the way to act, man. There is depth, it's the players that want to play the "meta" all the time. Pillars that haven't been completed yet? Yeah cause they are working on it? Have the taken a long time, sure but I have other games to play to pass the time and jump into mwo from time to time.
I don't throw a fit when something doesn't go my way and post pictures of me uninstalling a game cause BIG BAD PGI did something I didn't like. That's what a child does.
Seriously, enjoying the game and hating how the negative side of the community acts doesn't make someone a white knight. I guess you have to insult others some how.
Sure that's nice and all but this game had made its official release a few weeks back.

There's gonna be a post in a week, week and a half, about how all this was a communication failure, but that our opinions are the minority and the packages are selling amazingly well and everyone loves them.
