Its will be genuinely hilarious if the community prevented those gold mechs being viable in game.

I've paid $30 for a founder's package. That's it.

The game will get more when I think it's worth more.

---

Even when the game meets the minimal standards of what I'm looking for, purchases like this just aren't for me. I don't care to buy them, but I also don't care enough to get angry at other people who would want to buy one.

This is awesome. I went back to my post in the Phoenix Package feedback thread, and it said I was holding out for more information on current player levels and the general health of the game, the end of pin-point accuracy and alpha-strike meta and some core game mechanic adjustments for balance. I pointed out how everyone was throwing money at PGI, despite the state of the forums and game. They ultimately spent money on the promise of imminent game improvement.

I am very sorry, but I don't see Community Warfare or UI 2.0 being completed by the time these Mechs hit. Maybe... maybe... we have a new game mode. I sincerely hope I am wrong, but at this point, I wonder how many people are working on this title. Progress is at a snails pace on everything from weapon balance and hit box passes to promised content.

Has anyone posted any detailed chart mapping out the missed deadlines PGI has put forth? This just reeks of snake oil to me, given past history. They seem rather dismissive of missed deadlines and cancelled content, after using these very items as selling features.

PGI... show me some content and improvement, and for sure I will show you my wallet.

WHAT?!?!

Mechs & bling = Content
Modes & Meta = Features
Maps = a little of both.

I must say I am excited. As a good old wolfy and jumping vulture man I can say it will be fun. But I must agree with most other players in saying fighting with no context is stupid.

I am in a house and get no politics. No team chat. No banners in my mech bays. Nothing to tell me I am in a group. I think we should just call this Solaris V and admit what it is. We just play like gladiators. That is not bad but for an MMO I get tired. I want to trade. I want to fight and only get clan parts by legging opponents. The old way was you got parts of what was left. You better beleive headshots were worth it in Mercenaries. You want that good mech. Kill it but do not blow it up.

I think some of the silly stuff could be implimented quickly and lead to more imersion. Have a news feed covering the battles for the day. a few characters at war. This would just be a text file with an access tab and a symilar format to the mech lab. This would cause more imersion. Easy peasy fix.

Let us choose to go into fourums or not. I do not like looking for instructions online. Please make a rule/ instruction book. Or at minimum an online source material that is official and not a forum. Like Smurfy. Easy peasy fix.

Let us blow up stuff other then each other. Mountians, buildings, or atleast let me stop the cars. I think we can stomp a minivan. just a ac 10 explosion and a scorch mark left over. satisfying and not tough to code. Easy Peasy.

Have an option for chat based on 3 criteria that you can switch freely. I am 14 or like to make sexual comments. I am a serious player and want to talk as such with occasional explatives but not too many. I am in character, only my clan/ house. This chat would be in mech bay settings. Thus you can make a team and this will allow for imersion in the current system. Easy peasy, just link a chat program with channels you can select colorful/ serious/ my team. then the game engine can all stay the same. Easy peasy.

I put out these ideas specifically to help and point out solutions while saying.
I need some imersion, even easy low cost stuff will do.

GumonChoji

PS. the mech look great as always.
pps. when can I put stickers on my mech? The option has existed for a very long time but has no items. Like smily face, ironic smily face, team affiliation, flower, missle. pin up, animal, gun, burito. The basics.

Can only speak for myself, but hey, since you called us fools, I'll respond, and with more class.

I got my money's worth and more from Founder and Overlord and do not regret the purchases at all, but at this point I want a better game before more chassis. That's not hypocrisy.

You, me, everyone already knows if one of these EVER takes the field, it's going to be TKed within 10 seconds.

Assuming of course there's still a game then.

Hmmm so non payers are not important to the community? They add no value? They don't have a voice? They are second class players? ...I disagree. I see lots of constructive feedback and PGI supporters who from their forum profile have appeared to only invest thier time.

Just because someone cannot monetarily support the game because of their financial situation and real life obligations does not make them less valued in my mind as a community member and I am interested in all members opinions. I would hope the devs are too. There was a time I was the poor newly married 2 new babies fresh out of the Army house buying gamer and my game purchasing ability reflected that.

I "play" since open beta and i want to give them money.
But until now i have only seen a techdemo and basic gameelements, something we would have called alpha 20 years ago.
Today you can call it open beta and can take money from the players to do the testing for you.
I dont know why they call it a released game, i see no game until now.

I invested the money i wanted to spend on this "game" this year in a dishwasher and a pair of new heels for my girl.
I think it was the better deal in the short and long ...
But there is a new year comming, new money is waiting to be spend for my fun, i will see where it goes ...

So we are doing the Age of Empire Online development model. See this video for what we can expect to happen to MWO in the coming year.

PGI is doing the BIG WHALE sales tactic. They only need a couple of bites to make it a success and they don't care about anyone that cant afford the mechs. Underhanded beyond belief and anyone that dose bite the bate is promoting such vile tactics,

I'm also quite enjoying all of the people with Overlord badges posting their distaste.

Fools are soon parted from their money and all that.

I have no regrets about buying an overlord or founders package.

I've had a lot of fun the past few months playing these mechs. As a table topper in the late 80's I've much enjoyed seeing a return of these un-seen mechs. I'm very happy PGI worked out a deal to bring them back and I hope they continue to bring back other unseen mechs if possible.

I've gotten my value out of my two packages and I still haven't started my 90-days from the Overlord.

However, I've reached a point in this game where my interest is waning because I've played out the current content. New mechs aren't going to grow that content for me. Those other features that were promised will.

Guys, this game is essentially a Shopping Cart with Mech decals all over it. That what it feels like to hit 'Play' on the launcher. It's like I'm logging into my utility companies bill-pay area.

That gurgling sound? That's the drain.....circular pattern has begun.

I suppose it comes down to when you joined the action. If you started as a founder, you were probably already disillusioned by the time Phoenix came around. When Phoenix launched, I'd only just started really playing MWO then and it still seemed viable that PGI was still going to deliver. But now, I am also disillusioned and agree we need to turn the money tap off.

That said, turning the money off won't make the game improve, it will make the game cease to be, more likely.

Either way, I don't think you can blame anyone for spending money on MWO even if they buy the clan packs today; you CAN blame PGI for not delivering and so we should. o7

I guess I'll accept if you were very new to the game, and didn't take time to read up and understand where the development was...

But that is so few people. Most people knew and turned a blind eye.

Play Mech Warrior Liveing Legends it's so much better than this game and just much much more fun dony have to pay for **** other than buying crysis war head to download the mod! yes A MOD a MOD is better than MWO in every aspect and you will have all the mechs you love like the WARHAMMER!

I would just like to point out that the devs behind the MW:LL mod did not have to do ANY heavy lifting as the devs of Crysis had allready done that for them.. All they had to do was tweak some systems and give it a new "body"

$500 for a gold plated 'mech, $240 for the highest package.

Holding my money until I see some other improvements, even then as someone that has bought the full founders, the full pheonix and saber...I think I might pass this one up.

Also, is a Gold mech anything other than just a paintjob?

So, let me get this straight.
You're advocating griefing players for supporting the game?
I'm sure if someone said that about Founders or Phoenix players, you'd loose your f'ing mind.
