Ignore point, try to claim someone is breaking the Third Reich-like TOS of the game. Classy.

Try reading his post again. Laughing at something doesn't mean he's calling on people to do that.

I can see more players dropping with prices soaring. I, for one, cannot afford this leaning towards Pay-to-Win concept. Awesome mechs but outrageous pricing will certainly thin the ranks. I also understand that developing and (wo)man hours it takes to produce a game is not free. Break the packages down, switch the mechs up in different packets and bring down the prices. Could make purchasing a specific package more interesting and challenging.
Just my 2¢ worth.

Seeing the clan mech sale before we've even received all of Phoenix mechs yet is really poor taste. This really suggests PGI's financials are not good. Which is why we're seeing this offer so quickly. I can understand PGI's motivation to monetize the clans because many folks are huge clan fans. Post Clan mech offers will likely generate less cash since most folks will have so many mechs new ones won't be as valuable.\

This highlights the folks at PGI are skilled artists and poorly skilled performing the other skills to make this game work. 3 months after launch and still no UI 2.0, much less anything on CW. The PGI team seems to be a group of "One Trick Ponies" being unable to execute on anything other than new mech releases.

Additionally, the complete lack of information on how clans work and how their technology will compare to the tech we already have needs to be provided for folks to make informed purchase decisions. PGI has already stated the clan tech will not be exactly like canon so we need to understand what we are buying. Many of the items lack a descriptions on what they are used for. Is the Warhorn an extension of the Heavy Metal kill feature so players can annoy each other with obnoxious sound bytes?

This clan package is expensive as one big purchase, the fact that it was announced 7 months out and you can upgrade your package makes it a much more palatable purchase for many folks. After spending $240 we will still be missing some of the original classic clan mechs - dasher, vulture, Man O War, and Gladiator. I see another $120 Clan Reinforcement package being announced in a month or two. That makes it a $360 investment for all original clan mechs based on this pricing model.

For a $500 Gold Daishi, it better be one of the special cannon variants - Widowmaker or Prometheous in all its clan tech glory! I've never seen something like this for such an outrageous cost. Where is the T-shirt included this offer PGI? There is nothing tangible for this offer - not even a simple T-Shirt! Any paint job you want should be included. No one wants to stick out a bright gold mech.

Long time Battletech and MWO supporters are being insulted by being asked to buy new mechs will little to no information about them.

I honestly think that if UI 2.0 and Community Warfare came out tomorrow and both were perfect in every way, and they also improved balance in game and implemented all the other features you girls are crying about. That you would still have something to complain about.

PGI, thank you for the Clan mechs. Can we haz some HD art please?

June 17, plenty of time.

How about some info about the modules and stuff hinted at. Also, while I am disappointed by the lack of UI2.0 and CW, I'm not quite as over the top as some others...

I'll buy the Clans on pure faith, but we are counting on you to deliver them and so much more.

Somewhat childish. Griefing is against the TOS.

I have one more thing to add if you did do the text thing. you could say.............Due to war shortages the delecate pieces of the PPC have become scarce leading to a glut of non standard parts. Be careful (we adjusted the heat settings)
Research has begun on or a factory was found that does bla bla bla. We would all be updated on ballance tweeks and it would be imersive. People would feel like the they were told and it would add to the imersion as who knows, you could have an even to get lower heat for a faction. like some parts can only be purchased by the clan or house that controles them or they are cheaper for that team.

How is finding humor in people acting silly/stupid "encouraging" others to TK? That's not even the underlying basis he gave on WHY they are doing so.

Wait. You mean more features right? Pretty sure Mechs are considered content. Especially in a game titled Mechwarrior

Love it!

I'll say it again: The prices do not phase me.

The past 3 years of being here and seeing the same promises undelivered over and over does.

No way to justify buying this package and continuing support of the game. Basically at this point you are dropping huge money to drop randomly across 8? maps vs with 23 other people (if no one crashes) with no CW, no ui 2.0, and only the same promises we have heard over and over.

Once you start to look over the reviews this game got for release, the track record to date, and now this x-mas surprise of clan "goodness" as a thinking human being you have to ask yourself

"Can I trust this company to deliver a quality product for the money?"

I'll give credit to PGI/IGP for having balls of steel though, and once again completely not seeing this coming, or not even caring because they are raking the cash in so fast of the unseen majority that plays this game and keeps this frenzy going.

Really, there must be a huge whal population out there that never hits these forums, because here we are, PGI doing the same thing they've done for years, and we have a game with hardly anything to do but random drops, we have to sync drop in 2014 omfg....

Balls of Steel PGI. Balls of Steel.

People are very upset about this Niko, I hope you and PGI understand that.

I understand that they are doing this in time to catch the Holidays which is practical, but they did 'move the bar' when everyone was already sorta comfortable shelling out $100-$120 for the packages. I think people who expected the same are upset. It might've been better to space them out in smaller packages for the same price.

There is a lot of time to get this (6 months) so people can save up or use their Christmas money for it. Still, it makes people who bought the $100+ packs feel a bit left out because of the higher price of the complete set (even if there is more stuff in it) if you get what I mean.

What's important to some is getting the highest package just for the sense of being able to say they have it but now a lot of people can't do that.

according to your logic, star citizen (which isn't available to players in any shape or form, despite charging thousands for in-game purchases so far) is a scam and will never see the light of day.
