Exactly...real life takes priority and I for one do not value you any less since you spent no money on the game for whatever reason than I do someone like me who has spent several hundred dollars on the game. All players those who pay and those who play free all add value to the community.

They just have to give me a reason to spend it ...
I can but i dont want for what i see.
As i sayed nice shoes for my girl is the better investment. And i dont forgot that i have to buy a new showcabinet (if they stay on this speed buying new ones) or have to send her to a rehab next year, when i thought about the investment.

I think this game would be better of without f2p and the cryengine.

Agree or disagree with the way this was released, or the timing in which it happened, I kind of get the feeling that if I'm one of the people who worked, probably pretty hard, to actually create the Clantech content, and was feeling any sort of pride in my efforts on high quality art, or modeling, or what-have-you, only to find the kind of vitriolic stuff some people have injected into this feedback thread, well...

All I can say I guess is, humans man, humans. *sigh*

Love the artwork, they have a beautiful visual game. There is potential! But I don't care about adding more mechs at this point without the sandbox that means something in terms of their use. Those missing features have my friends moving on that means I eventually move on that is the bigger issue. Not whether I think someone made a cool mech or not that is not the issue for me.

I am now actively hoping that this game fails so that the franchise can be picked up by a developer who will go ahead and make the single player game that we all actually wanted and got all excited for when we saw that first trailer back in '09.

.....you mean like the long list of developers who wanted this franchise in the last 12 years........

Has PGI responded in this thread yet? Also making announcements on Friday and leaving the forums to stew= WHY?

It's not a matter of 'if'. This is a certainty.

People are going to lose their minds when they see a gold mech. The ACLU will start a "Just because a mech is dressed provocatively doesn't mean you can..." campaign... but the campaign will be trampled by thousands of tons of zealous mech huntsmen chasing gold plated unicorns.

I play with about 8 buddies who enjoy this game (we actually had a great time last night yucking it up about this sale) and I assure you that when we have a premade lance together and we detect a gold mech... or hear a legend about a gold mech on the other team... we are going get medieval on them. We are going to locate, chase, and skin that mech... rub lotion on it's pelt, then wear it like Wild Bill in Silence of the Lambs... the gold plated lambs.

I'm sure we are not the minority out there either.

It would be REALLY funny if six months down the line PGI released gold paint for C-bills. hahaha

They do that every time, why don't people notice PGI's habits? They are easy to figure out.

im only on page 16 so dont know if anyone has brought this up yet.

$4000 in gold mechs. lets say their are 1000 die hard fans.

its VERY conceivable they will make $4,000,000 (4 million dollars)

Ok, you're really far off base here. Unless there's 1000 people out there with Pokemon-itis in that they're unable to do anything but get every mech available, this just ain't going to happen. Also, not that it says "limited quality." I'm thinking that there might be like 5-25 of the gold mechs, not 1000 of each. That means 40 to 200 of these mechs total...and 25 could certainly be a massive stretch, probably more like 5 to 10, which is more like $40,000.

If they then sell 250 of the Masakari packages that's another $60,000 which is $100,000 total. Then probably various other denominations of the packages, I'd guess that a million would be the absolute tops for what they're estimating to get out of this, probably more like half that. Granted, that's a very nice chunk of change, but not the small fortune that you're suggesting.

Any chance we will see Community Reps, Devs etc comment on this based on the reaction? I can see Niko on reading them at least.

Not likely. They dropped it on a Friday for a reason: for people to have a weekend to read and post, so they can gather the data and see what the reaction is, and what the sales are. Then on Monday once they've got some actual data they'll address things as needed.

I like how the 4-5 white knight's that remain are taking shifts in this thread.

It's pretty amazing.

Heffay is breaking which is find enjoyable.

Roadbeer is pure troll at this point.

Ryucz...I dunno, I'd say he's a bit off...

Kinda implies that I'm one of the White Knights...

You should know better by now. I'm against just hyperbole and hubris which means I'm basicly neutral since the Forumites are all about hyperbole and PGI is all about hubris, and I'm always in pure troll mode

You put a fracking Atlas on a fracking motorcycle, put the motorcycle on water skis, let it jump over a shark into a fridge and then you nuked the fridge!

500 $? Seriously? And about the half for a normal pack? What the frack is wrong with you people? Hypothecially speaking - if I would cut someone from the PGI staff - WOULD THEY BLEED B U L L S H I T !?!?!?!?!

They didn't do any heavy lifting? Read this:

"Because the project changes the play-style and feel of the game it is originally based on (Crysis and Crysis Warhead) so completely as to be unrecognizable in comparison, it is billed as a "full-conversion" mod, since little to no trace of the original game's art or play-style (besides the most basic menus seen when first loading the game) exists any longer within MW:LL." - http://en.wikipedia...._Living_Legends

There's a reason why the mod won many awards.

That quote... it does not say what you think it does...

I've been playing MWO since open Beta now and until today i never felt the need to complain in the forums, but this is just ridiculous. While i don't mind spending money on the game i am not willing to pay such ridiculous prices, but since we are asked to give feedback, here are my two cents worth:

1: Make the packages more flexible so people can choose what mechs they want and don't offer fixed bundles.

2: Stop charging more money for bigger mechs, it makes sense for ingame money but a mech is a mech and you should pay the same amount for it wether it is a light or an assault if you buy it with real money since the value is the same, regardless of weight.

3: Don't offer exclusive content for paying members like the Gold Mech exclusive Module or the strongest Variants of Airstrike and Artillery Strike, thats pay to win and will ruin the game.

4: Fix the game first, add the Content you promised so the game itself doesn't feel like a beta anymore before offering expensive packages, then maybe people are more willing to buy stuff.

5: Remove the Gold Mechs, no one wants a "Bling Bling Mech".

I hope this counts as constructive Feedback and you will listen to what the community has to say, since this game is a lot of fun and i would hate to see it get ruined by greed.

What's up with the unique module? Can we get a statement on that? p2w is going to be shouted.
Russ Bullock ‏@russ_bullock Dec 13th
it's just gold collector, no p2w in the least. Collector mentality usual accepted vanity and time/money model
