Sorry PGI but 250$/500$ for just ASPECTS of the game?
No. Just no. We never had to pay for mechs before. I was totally gungho about this game... now I am "yeah, NO!"
You dropped the ball on this PGI.

But really, if you only really want to pilot the hero version, its' $30.
And you can't choose what's in the pack. So if you want a Ryoken, it's . . . (STormcrow) $180.
$150 if you want a Puma.
And we don't even have any details on how clan technology will work.
none!
How about $15 for a standalone special, $30 for a set, choose your own.
:-p
And . . Special Modules for $500?
Either your an ***** throwing your money away ($500!) on useless stuff.
Or it's useful and I'm quitting. :-p.
I just started reading the forums while playing, and this announcement caused me to quit the game and go do something else :-p.

PGI, I love this game, but as others have said: give us worthy DX11, well designed UI 2.0, functional and interesting CW and then I'll consider spending further $240 on MWO.
Mechs are awesome, but we need actual community-building functionality.

MWO > MW1
MW2 > MW3
MW4 > MWO
If you adjust for "technology inflation" MW1 is in no way near the bottom of the list. It got the Btech feeling arguably the best, with half working 'mechs, limited repair parts, seedy locations and a great contract negotiation system.
Hell why couldn't we have had a remake of that?

You're right, it says ''Unique Bonus Module'', not slot. I took it to mean a slot, but it could also be a particular unique Module of some sort.
I wonder what it is? I also wonder if PGI know at this stage what it is.

This is the Defenders of IGP/PGI
And now we have a look at the community at large!
And after all the lies, scams, insults, vitriol, you still believe what these snake oil salesmen preach/pitch to you. You all honestly deserve all this [scrap] and should lie in the beds we made for ourselves, by allowing this [redacted] to happen. Myself and several other people tried to warn the community about this but it all went threw one zombie ear to the other zombie ear. So until this game is either declare by law as the ponzi scheme it is, or it gets the content promised. ya'll enjoy yourselves!

new game modes, ui 2.0, community warfare, clans
That list seems strangely familiar...
btw, those were expected to start showing up in a few short months. If I remember correctly they even mentioned completely re-writing the netcode around that time too.
If you really think you'll have all the clan mechs they are promising by next July, then I have bridge to sell you.

You probably can buy them, once everything is released in June, like the phoenix package.
They put the more popular ones on top so they can get more money. They know people want the favorite mechs, so they force them to buy others as well. Its smart as a business, but irking as a player.

this is my first posting and this may be my last.
"the invasion is coming"
after cw/dx11/ui2.0 or when?
golden "bling bling"-mechs?
really?
i spent "some" money over the time for mwo but at this "still beta"-state and this really bad joke, i wont anymore until you deliver any of your promises.

PGI/IGP ...what is with this? You're Promo back in October showed so much promise. UI 2.0 + New CW System + Merc Corps/Clans/IS Houses info.
Then we get Merc Corp info, props for that. And now this...right after the last pack. You provide no information as to what's going on internally.
No game plan with this mech pack, no estimated release [of UI, CW, etc] and the reason behind it. 6 months from now, I would expect us to have UI 2.0 and the CW system in place and balanced. You guys don't have Inner Sphere weapons and tech balanced and you want to jump into Clan Tech which has ALWAYS been the notably hard balancing act in all the previous titles that have had both techs available.
I have hope that you're not just screwing people over and wanting to jump back into the timeline properly, because lets be honest, you're behind...way behind.
This move with no other information seems like nothing more than simply gouging your community for money. And yes, WE ARE YOUR TARGET AUDIENCE, whether you want to admit it or not. Because you can be damn sure the hardcore fans will be the one you'll make the money off of in the long run, not new users. And if you austrasize us, you're going to kill this game quite quickly because we won't be playing it and won't be encouraging our friends (your "new" users) to play with us.
Focus more on the promises and actual content (mechs are not content) for your game then just mech packs for money. Also, don't follow World of Tanks business model for pricing. You're already WAY over priced for what you're actually selling, hell World of Tanks is way over priced for what you get.
You guys need a new business model and CEO's that will actually put you on the right track for a game that will have longevity into the future. Because at the current juncture you've pretty much taken every opportunity to **** off and spit in the face of your community.

They will produce the Mechs on time.
But they won't produce a reason to be interested in using the Mechs - ie, Community Warfare - by then.

Just wait for the infux of PM's asking you for details like: how many lanes? Length? location? lol

It should also be easy to understand what one is getting (please see Star Citizen as an example of how they manage to explain each ship's qualities even though its still not designed or implemented).
This sale is not easy to understand, every element of it is undefined: module, warhorn, mechs (omni? hardpoint? just like an IS mech?), technology?
PGI -- why try to start a sale, perhaps the most important sale ever for you guys, without helping us understand what it is you want us to buy?
If we understood what we were going get, NO ONE WOULD BUY IT!
That is why they cant tell us.
