After buying the Legendary Founders pack and waiting for the content to slowly come out, I refused to buy Phoenix package because the main features most people have been waiting for were still not released or infact anywhere near release from what was seen.

Now you release this **** when Phoenix Package has barely blown over and expect people like me to fork out more money whilst still not giving us what has been promised for a long time? infact not only is it more money, it's a **** ton of money where a game is concerned.

Yes we get it, this is Mechwarrior, we do like new mechs, but we also like proper content, a proper game, not just team deathmatch to show off how many hundreds of dollars we spent on broken promises. This new package can go **** itself until I see some new noteworthy content.

I mean what the **** have you invested the Phoenix package money into? more modelers, animators, skinners etc to make all these mechs? rather than putting more resources into actual content the game needs so badly, nice.

I had been saving for this pack.

A few weeks ago I bought a gladiator and super hornet with LTI.

'Nuff said.

How long until the first gaming magazine or comic makes fun of this blunder? I suppose the release just before the weekend has one advantage!

i'm happy; sorry so many aren't. MW is everything i hoped it would be and clan is coming much sooner than I ever expected. no freaking way I can (or would) spend 500 bucks for a gold mech but for those that have that much free change and are that into MW: thanks for supporting the game. I will be getting the masakari package though...it conveniently delivers just a few days after my birthday :)

Well, I hope those who bought multiple ships feel wrong then.

I bought many ships, to provide as much support as I could. But I did it on good faith to back the project, not because I thought it was value for money. I did it to have a game that is crowd funded and not beholding to any publishers or board members or share holders... just to the vision laid out by the founder as best as he can deliver it. It is like commisioning a great work of art rather than buying a video game.

Didn't read thru 18 pages but just wanted to make one point. You guys do know that clan mechs cost quite a bit more then innersphere mechs right? I mean a timberwolf costs 24 million cbills. When you think of it that way, $10 is about right. right?

The technology will be changed so that there is no advantage over IS mechs. Already stated. Why should they cost more than something that performs the same?

And you understand that C-bills are a fictional currency that is in no way an actual measure of economic value. Right?

It came from the deepest reaches of space... when PGI was absolutely desperate for cash.

Clan Grab Deal.

Frankly if I was a clan player, I'd be right knackered off a this. 240 for top tier... hell that makes legendary founders and Project Phoenix look like childsplay.

They're milking you clanners... they know you want that Timberwolf or Direwolf... they know you'll pay. Don't do it.

I keep trying find some way to justify the price but there is simply no way to do it. Perhaps if CW had been out a while and interest was starting to wane then release the clan mechs to help keep things fresh and interesting but instead we have the clan mechs but still no CW, no persistent universe.

As much as I'd like to help support, I already have, twice in fact. Why should I spend any more money on something that has not delivered what has been promised? What happens to these mechs I spent money on when the servers are turned off? Do I get a thank you card for my contribution? If we had something that would allow us to keep going when things slowly die off then I might start thinking about further support, kinda like that big space shooter that keeps setting new records for crowdfunding every week or so. At least there when all is said and done, when all the servers are shut down we at least get to have our own servers, there we atleast get to modify and keep going. Here we have none of this.

Alas I must say enough, perhaps I may stop by to drag my old faithful centurion out for a round or two, perhaps I might even play more than once a month but for now I think I must go to the inspiration for my username for a quote that sums this up the best,

"so long and thanks for all the fish"

Its been fun PGI but please wake me when the game actually launches, you know that thing called Community Warfare with a persistent universe. That thing that was supposed to be a game called MechWarriorOnline.

The prices aren't too crazy, because it's really 30$ per mech (three variants each), which isn't too far off the usual prices. But what is odd is that the deal doesn't seem sweetened by price, like it normally is. That just makes it seem like the prices are barriers to what mech you'd want.

I am, however, EXTREMELY excited for the oncoming invasion!!!

PGI, you need to fire GamesAnalysis or whatever corporate consulting company is whispering in your ear telling you your audience is a bunch of idiots who will pay for anything shiny. This is your official notice that the community no longer considers the Clan mechs to be the endgame of this project and that the absence of CW is now a roadblock to you making any more money.

PGI, remove the Gold mech packages before this negative publicity gets out of hand. Is it really worth it to sell maybe a dozen or so of those Gold packages? The negative hype and loss of players will probably cost you even more money if not your reputation in the long run.

One thing I noticed is the 30% C-Bill bonus for primes. Looks like PGI will not be doing an alternative economy to earn clan mechs. We knew they were not going to implement the clan technology to its fullest. Now PGI is going to leave out the background as well. That’s not going to sit well with the diehards.

Personally I don’t think this is PGI’s fault. Check out IGP the publisher of MWO. They hardly have a webpage. The current CEO didn’t have his Facebook status updated to “CEO” from president for over two months. IGP’s last post on Facebook was November 20th. Nothing about Black Friday Sales, no Clan update, nothing.

You would think a software publisher would be on that. In general they look a little amateurish/scamish to me.

Love the art, but I will not spend money on mechs that don’t at least try and live up to the IP. Plus I think IGP could fold and take the cash.

UI/2 and Community Warfare before clan mechs that work just like Innersphere mechs.

I don't mind spending money on this game, but the prices are out of control. Why on earth would I spend $500 on a gold 'Mech when I can purchase a brand new Playstation 4 at that price? I could see spending $100 on a gold 'Mech, but $500.... are you !@#$ kidding me! Does PGI understand that we are still recovering from a recession?
