The clan mechs. Because he's already looking at his Constellation, he'll be playing it by end of year, maybe january. He will likely have access to it in a more complex game than MW:O currently is by the time the clan mechs are out.

Apples to oranges but still.

And I'm already looking at my Hornet, thing is people are over hyping SC so high that it is going to have the huge backlash that MWO has had.

You can pay as little as $30, everything will be purchase able with in-game currency when it goes live aaaannd this is STILL a year and a half BEFORE release.

Same in this game? Your point? You guys are easily pleased and then whine when things don't go your way.

And within a short period of time that game will have more content assembled in 1 year and without the hangups that it has taken over 2 1/2 years for PGI to fail to deliver on. Amazing what happens when someone who knows how to develop a game actually takes the faith of their community and returns that investment.

As a backer of Star citizen, no they won't. They don't even have all the ships in the hanger yet, nor even the versions of most their ships worked out. People keep praising Star Citizen for doing so much while not having anything more than a hanger that is partially implemented and they still fork over 100+ for a single ship. I just find it hilarious that people complain about teh prices here and having nothing really added to the game and then go to Star Citizen and claim that they have so much more and their prices are better.

It is interesting that it is down to two people defending the packages. :)

Considering a hang up (whether they acknowledge or not) with Harmony Gold when they started brain storming for this in 2008...

I dunno, let me know when you can play more than a hangar. :)

I want it so bad, but **** this. Not until something I care about drops and we're beyond this mindless grind. I've got the money; PGI just needs to justify the purchase. I'm not going to dump $240 into an endless pit of promises.

+1

For once, we agree Bill.

Star Citizen has had more time than MWO. MWO had a very rushed early life. It was barely a year into development when it was forced out the door. That is amazing for any game. BOth officially start development in 2011. I'd say MWO has gotten more done in that time.

Wow, thanks for nothing PGI.

Only thing I want is an Adder and I can't get one unless I spend 120 dollars on mechs I don't want.

Support this post. Its request asks for splitting of clan mech purchasing tier into two groups. The second group would begin with the Adder for 30, Ryoken and Adder for 60, Timberwolf + Ryoken + Adder for 90, and Warhawk (+ the others) for 120, while maintaining the first four (Kitfox, Nova, Summoner, and the Direwolf for its own group up to 120).

If I get that gold skin it better shine and reflect light like a god'damn gold brick. I want that thing to hurt people's eyes when they look at it. Better not be just a flat shade of yellow.

It's pre-alpha, and you can already run around in your hanger! Oh, and they're putting in Organizations in January!

When are those coming to MWO again?

Actually, Dihm I'm confused by your statement. MWO doesn't have a hanger you can run around in. It has a crappy windowed UI with no immersion what so ever. What has MWO done for organizations other than forums? What tools do that have for clans and guilds? Star Citizen is in pre-alpha, and in a month or two when their organization tools and dog fighting test comes out they will have MORE to do then MWO does now. Ponder that one for a minute. You might actually *gasp* be able to pick the people you play against!

That's to say nothing of their ultimate goal. A full MMO with a full single player game attached, with *gasps again* an in game STORY! At least they both have a third person view. That's the one thing they have in common.

You mean the DX11 update that offers zero visual upgrades and hurts your framerate?

Yeah, that's the one. The same one mentioned in these patchnotes:

Quote

To the MechWarrior™ Online® Community:

We are pleased to announce the latest engine drop of CryENGINE 3.4.1. This was a large undertaking and has helped us address many of the game’s issues and bump up performance and rendering capabilities.

What does this mean to you? The game looks significantly better. All of the maps have had their lighting tuned and you’ll now see a lot more detail in the environment. Minimum spec PC players should notice a fairly good improvement in performance with tuning still on-going and will be coming down the pipe as we optimize the game on our way to Open Beta.

DirectX 11 and 3D Vision support are currently disabled while we resolve the remaining few issues. These will come on-line in an upcoming patch.

We have also taken this opportunity to add some new pathing in River City for you to explore which adds some more gameplay strategies when approaching enemy bases

Change Log

GENERAL
•User Data: We will NOT be resetting any user data this patch. (i.e. you keep all your Mechs, XP, CB, MC as is).

CryEngine 3.41
•All levels have had a lighting pass done for 3.4.1
•Performance improvements (both client side and server side)
•DirectX 11 disabled for now
•3D Vision disabled for now

[...]

Long-time users will recognize these patchnotes, promising that DirectX 11 and 3D Vision support due soon, from the end of October.

The end of October, 2012. DirectX 11 support has been coming soon for over a year.

Okay, will do! We're expecting a response soon on if they'll release the DFM or if they'll wait a little bit and do it later. Still on schedule for 2015 launch. Oh, another new patch coming next week and the patch yesterday got client-side persistence into the Hanger.

The hanger has been the same since it first launch stop trying to make sound more than it is. You just stand around and enter your ships with broken animations.
