I had asked (probably over a year ago) for a signed Jenner concept art e-mailed to me, never got a reply.

Once I saw that I would get a signed concept art (digital or not, does not bother me) I felt I owed Alex a bit more of a "HEy, can I have" to.. "I see what you did there", and jumped on it.

Sure, there are other bonuses, but that (signed!) concept art, I'm a fan.

The problem is, the money doesn't go to Alex, it goes to IGP.

In all honesty, they really need to make a fully dynamic battlefield with multiple elements such as vehicles, combat missions, faction battles. They need to fix the damn bugs such as wonky hit registration and people having issues dropping matches. Hell a new map every month would be better than new mechs.

If they made a kickass CW that catered to more people then this game would have unlimited potential.

A fair enough reason, in my view. Alex's work has been great. I wish we could say the same for the company he works for.

And apparently all IGP/PGI got from sales of PP is, "hey, people thought this [PP] was a really good deal, bet we can increase the price by 50%, and people will still all buy it because they want the clans."

The price hike is bad, and the overall cost is enough to raise eyebrows, but this announcement comes at a bad time. See, they didn't just say the clans are coming in the summer (which we already guessed), they said they would be happy to take your money. People are still recovering from spending $120 on PP + Saber (which haven't all been released yet).

People are also touchy after the recent end-of-year developer update which basically told us that very little progress has been made on CW, and three months after launch, UI 2.0 (which was supposedly to be released a few weeks to a month after launch) is still nowhere to be seen, and we are told it is being pushed out, "as fast as possible, and will be buggy."

To top it all off, no one knows HOW the clan mechs and weapons will be balanced or implemented into the game to make them unique from the IS yet not an "I WIN!" button.

In summary, there is a great deal more here than an announcement that the clans are coming. Believe me, I WANT to buy the $240 package, and support the game, but I think, unfortunately, the time has come where many, even long time white-knight types, need a little more than faith in the devs. at this point. (Aside from the point that the price hike compared to PP is a bit hard to swallow.)

So you actually did it, fair enough if you have the disposable income for a purchase like that, most of us don't.

you talk about trust as if we could just trust them... after all we got lies since closed beta on the other hand... this will tell you a lot about the direction of the game for the future and it will also tell you a lot about the business model.

Beign said that I'll go thru this:

Yes, is a free 2 play game.
Yes, we can just quit or drop the game (I already did).
Yes, can wait (and waste our time on a game that might have no future).

And well, i like a lot more ppl just wanted the game to succeed because we loved the game in the past. So well, at the end is all about PoV's right?

If we let PGIU continue to sucker us with more Mechs but no metagame, then we'll still be here next Christmas debating the next Mech pack for $400 and $1000 Platinum Mechs.

I'm one who bought into the pheonix in hopes the game picking up some pace. Some new modes, something new besides just Mechs. All I see is mechs. A map here and there, but all that does is add another to a rotation and something i'll hate even more.

I will not be spending any more money on this company at all unless something changes. I will not be supporting it.

I enjoy the game, but its dying out, nothings new.
