Russ Bullock on Twitter: "BTW UI 2.0 is getting really close. I think we have a very strong chance of getting the first iteration released in January."

I've said it before and I'll say it again: How desperately sad have we been driven to care this much about new menus?
They are dangling the prospect of usable menus that every game has ever had, ever, like it will revolutionize game play.

Please help me understand why should I buy any ingame stuff in a game which had no real development in a year?
Why should I spend more money for mechs to shoot random guys in the same boring gamemodes (skirmish and turrets are not a new gamemode) without any goal? Without real ingame social backround (lobby, corps)?
In this year you spend our money to "develop" the glorious UI 2.0 the vital 3rd PV and the stupendous DX 11 and all we got this year is 3rd PV, which people did'nt want at all... Oh, wait, I forgot the thoughtful "ghos heat" which cooking your new gamers because there's still no tutorial.
The player's number is dropping... See this topic - which is about the biggest announcement in this year - has only 280 people reading it, and it's weekend.
You've just stated that UI.2 is slipped, you haven't start to develop CW yet... and after alll this, you've just push into our face the biggest money grab the game industry ever saw. Really, how dare you mocking us that much? I guess you want new sports car for the holidays.
Let's see what is missing from this game 3-4 months after LaunchTM:
- communication from devs
- CW
- UI 2
- lobby
- corps
- achievements
- VOIP
- more than 2 game modes
- working hit detection
- stable connection
- game balance
- background music?!
- etc...
Seriously, a bunch of independent modders could do better than this.
Give us something that enhance player experience. I will not throw cash in a dying, vegetating game and I will not support this unethical attitude of yours either. No more money for you...
Just going to re-quote this... It reflects how I feel about the game not being complete enough to back up this sale. In a post previous to this one I mentioned that there is a lack of meaningful content that gives purpose to the mechs. More mechs don't make shooting mechs more fun. It flat lined after Phoenix pack was released. This sale should have been saved for a June 17th announcement....

Given they just started the pipeline for CW - which is the movie equivalent of pre-production - they literally came to the launch party with hasty MS Paints of whatever the person drawing them sounded cool with no grounding in ANYTHING.
No wonder Paul was bored playing tetris during the whole presentation. Why have interest in stuff you've made up?

Thank you. Your feedback on my PGI parody delivered me more pleasure than the last 10 hours I spent grinding on the same eight maps for the few Mechs variants I don't yet own.

Because, well, if clan mechs come and CW isn't fully fleshed out, that's pretty much it. We *SHOULD* have had CW with IS only mechs for a decent period of time so that we could actually have a war going when the clans invade but the current timeframe simply doesnt allow that to happen unless CW is released in jan/feb, and tbh i think we'll be lucky to have UI 2.0 by then.

I have no idea how we only have 5 maps.
Making a good map for a game like MechWarrior is not the same as making a map for, say, a first person shooter.
There are people - many of which on this very forums - that have done better looking maps than most of those in the game in under a week. All you need is some satellite data, textures, and some nice models to put around the map. Making maps in Crysis is insanely easy.
I've known people who have picked up the editor and done maps of the quality in MW:O in under a week from first time usage.
So yeah, I want to know why we have so few maps, too.
PS: We wouldn't be in this state if Paul, Russ and the rest didn't just stop working for like 8 months after consumables got put out, counting on the mech artists to make them all their money.

My favorite part of that thread is how Destined edited a post in the start claiming that the thread was biased because the same several people accounted for most of the posts, even after we had statistics from checking that that was not only entirely false, but the people with the highest post counts were all on PGI's side on the issue.
So yeah. Waiting until this thread gets locked and some note gets put up about the few "trouble makers" in here.
