Are you ******* serious? I've played Mechwarrior on every platform since the 1st was released. All this has done is made me want to uninstall this game and not support anything your company ever makes!! Pay to win..... you've ruined the game. Way to go. I hope you lose the majority of TRUE mech fans!!

I'd like my money back, but I know you wasted it on stupid **** and the whiny gamers on here. Closed Beta was spot on for how this game should have been. Then it went to open beta and it started going downhill from there. All of us founders have been completely screwed every time you release something new. $120 got me 4 mechs, of which are now WAAAAAAY under powered compared to what is being released.

ALL IN ALL..... I JUST GOTTA SAY WAY TO **** UP MECHWARRIOR!!!! PGI YOU SUCK!!!

By the time this gets released I'll be happily alpha-testing Camelot Unchained and Star Citizen.

(Which will both have more developed content, than MWO will, at that time.)

From how I understand it UI2.0 will need to be in-game before the clan mechs launches. The UI1.5 won't be able to support clan mech labbing...

At least have UI2.0 in game and CW phase 1 launched before we talk about me dropping another 240 down the rabbit hole.

Anyway, this package will run through its own launch anyway so definitely no rush for me..

I'd rather use my December funny money for gtx780ti sli..

Could you kindly tell me exactly where the pay-to-win part is?

You have lost your EFFIN MINDS! I have payed for the legendary, the overlord and even the legendary on MW tactics, not to mention all the cash spent on MC, But if you think I'm going to pay those kinds of prices for the top packages, with the game as buggy and unbalanced as it is, then you all need to have your heads examined.

It seems like all Piranha/IGP are doing now is trying to squeeze the fan base for all we're worth! No, I work for a living, and while I could afford to spend hundreds of dollars at a time on something of real VALUE, this is not worth it, it's a bad investment, and the company is becoming one too. I'm not shelling out that kind of money. And frankly, this comes across as shameless money grabbing, and it's a poke in the eye to the people who have already invested SO MUCH in this game.

I think we all need to start recognizing this entire endeavor for the SCAM it is apparently turning out to be.

What worries me is that there's nothing that prevents them from pulling the plug on it anytime they want. Now I wish they'd just released MW5 and a few mech packs like MS did with MW4.

sigh... original intent of game deviated from what they had stated, dreamt and hoped for. Period.

When considering buying one of those, I would like to get more information how the clans will be implemented game wise. It would be a waste of money to own all those clan mechs if I only could play for one faction at a time.

So if I play for a clan faction it will render my founders and overlord mechs useless, and if I play for an IS faction it will render my clan mechs useless?

And what do those unique bonus modules do?

What do thoese warhorns do?

Would it be better to buy those clan mechs for a second account?

Well there are really only 2 choices:

1) Clan mechs will be grouped together and drop into matches opposed by IS mechs.
- this will require at least some form of CW
- this will require the ability to generate separate queues
- the proportion of people wanting to play clans when it is released will generate long waits for games since very few people are driving IS mechs.

2) They completely fail to implement CW in time. Clan mechs are dropped into matches just like any other mech (they pretend they are all captured technology run by IS pilots).

I know which one I would put my money on at the moment ...

So I come back to check out the sinking ship and what do I see? Forums giving "white knight" titles to their supporters, Golden Mechs for sale, and mass editing of threads by mods.

This is bad comedy, PGI.

I agree with Tolkein's post. This is entirely our fault. I did not refund my phoenix package because I figured it would at least be put to good use to eventually make the game...but no.

Here is my suggestion: since you will no doubt claim all of your packages are successful, reopen founder and phoenix refunds and pay it out with your Clan Grab. We are the vocal minority after all, if your silent majority can pull this game through you might as well pay your founders and overlords for their early support and wish them on their way.

Sometimes this community really cracks me up. Is like a bunch of you showed up for free steak night at a restaurant, purchased every side item on the menu, and then complained for 3 months that the steak was a T-bone instead of a porterhouse and the side items cost too much. If you feel that you would not be happy playing with any of those clan mech packages under the current state of the game then simply don't buy them. In reality you all got everything that you paid for. If the clan collections cost too much money for you then tough dookie. That's how the world works. If you don't want to buy them by choice, then don't. Guess what- in the real world there are things that everyone would love to have but they can't afford. These sales are for people who have the money and don't mind parting with it. As for in-game features... if you don't like what's available, go somewhere else. I suspect CW and UI2.0 will be here sooner rather than later, but in the meantime we won't miss you if you decide to go be insufferable somewhere else. Want community warfare? Go play MegaMek on one of the many servers that are available. That is about as involved as CW can get. The sense of entitlement around here is ridiculous. Know what you're actually entitled to? What you bought (mechs, medallions, premium time, mc, etc).

Is that really so bad in a free-to-play game? It's a cash and convenience vs. patience and c-bill grinding decision.

I appreciate that some people here have more disposable income than I do. And I certainly can save $40 a month and buy this in June. It's not an issue of can or can't but of "why pgi. I'm trying to give you money. just make it fun for me. this pay structure is not fun. it leaves a bad taste."

I would gladly pay for 2 mechs and fork over $60 (pending CW). It's ok for a business to package things, but this is just stupid.

I'll pay you. I'll pay you full price. I'll pay you early. Don't ask me to pay you for things I don't want.

No publisher was willing to support the single-player game. That is why they chose the free-to-play route in the first place.

I'm not a big fan of the pricing structure that they used for the Clan collection and the Phoenix package. It was not as big of an issue for Phoenix since I wanted the Shadowhawk but my Locust is collecting dust nonetheless. Had I wanted a Battlemaster I would certainly be waiting until its C-bill release which is what I'll be doing for the Timber Wolf. These packages are only a value if you want all the mechs contained in the package but for those that want only 1 or 2 you don't get your moneys worth.

Normally I would do some math and think about the value of those packages. Sadly all further spending has been postponed until after the release of UI 2.0 and CW. Bottlenecks, you know?

Once I've finished conquering the first planet I'll go back to the packages page and see what's what. After all, PGI says I'll be doing that soon™.

Now, the U$500 Mechs are just nuts. Whaling in all its glory.
