Hayashi, on 02 March 2015 - 11:54 PM, said:
I ******* love mediums for this and other reasons
Hayashi is directing his own BattleTech anime, however, the project was put on hold after his hallucinogens ran out and he realized that his production studio full of hard working professionals was actually the Detroit Zoo monkey exhibit.
But damn, was he making progress until that point!

Actually in the 1990's fasa created a Japanese version of battletech (http://www.gearsonli...ies/battletech/) to appeal to the japanese crowd. Most of the mechs in the TRO were redesigns of the unseens, Ironically designed a few months after the unseen.
Instead of the American version of the mech (Walking tanks) they adopted the anime way of thinking (The mechs can do virtually anything a human can do.)

Sadly, he was unavailable for modeling when the American MechWarriors were created. Instead, only StompingonTanks was available, thus explaining the "walking tank" motions we have today. He simply wasn't the gymnast that Mech42Ace is.
Mech42Ace has even won medals for his gymnastics! He loves wearing those stretchy leotards when competing.
