Yeah itll teach you how to F'ing play. When I was new I wasn't expecting my hand to be held. I learned by getting my butt kicked. I'm sorry but if your training in anything competitive there's a great chance that the other person is greater than you and your going to get your arse kicked before you learn anything. Also I have pugged plenty of times and won against premades as well as gone in with a pre and had my butt to me. It's all a matter of how the team in its entirety plays out. A lot of times the QQ'ers are the ones that helped cause the loss in the first place. Yeah just sit behind that hill when you see a lance plus push in with your large lasers thinking that your really helping out. SMH

Same. I didn't get better by keeping things easy on myself. I watch and learn how other players much better than me are doing it. I still get my butt handed to me. That's just my own fault. Some people have better patience and aim than I do.

MWO, is still not a pick up game, there are definitions and we should adhere to such things.

I see Mallan is still hard at work keeping his rep as an ignorant abortion. 15k posts might make you seem like a veteran, but when you talk you still sound like a noob.

a game of basketball, baseball, etc that is played by anyone who wants to play when the game is starting and thats from 1 source but every definition is about the same+the game has to be spontaneous. MWO maybe we dont know who were going against but its definitly not haphazard

Okay. Wikipedia alright with you?

In sports, a pickup game is a game that has been spontaneously started by a group of players. Players are generally invited to show up beforehand, but unlike exhibition games and regular games there is no sense of obligation or commitment to play. Pickup games usually lack officials and referees, which makes them more disorganized and less structured than regular games but the total number of players in such games globally is likely to be greater than the number playing in formal competitions and leagues.

Aside from the whole "sports" thing, it sounds pretty appropriate to me.

so putting solo new players up against teams and experienced players in your view is both fair and balanced?

Really doesn't matter if there is a newb in your team as long as there is a newb in the other team, saying that pre-made groups are bad is wrong as there are some that are full of fail (yes I know you havn't mentioned this but there are a few using your thread to jump on the band wagon, to say pre-made are bad) however it does make the fail that PGI call the matchmaker seem more extreme.

No i'm not saying ELO is bad, as it is a system that does work, but, but....

Only if there are enough people playing to make it stable..which clearly is not happening at all..

PGI do say there are matches that are poorly balanced but happen very rarely..

However they do not tell the community at what times of the day they happen more often, if I want a well balanced game i'm having to play after 10pm at night, its really not worth logging on between 4pm-9pm at what should be the uk's and europes 'prime' time because the match balancing is so god awful, there really isn't another way of expressing it without violating the forum code and ohh boy do I want to violate it and tell the people messing up this franchise what I think of them, for playing down what the community is telling them over and over again, the match maker is gauno.

Endless disconnects, endless imbalance after 18 months the match maker is still allowing games to start 2 short as in the OP example,(which is truely disgusting for a game that been out with so little in it, for so long) when it does manage to load 24 players the weighting of the matches is far worse than the 'metrics' PGi claim are accurate.

Its kind scarey that PGI are telling us UI2 will be released with bugs, when they can't make the bits they say are o.k, work properly often enough

It was part of Gym class. Team games designed to get students to participate together. I try to teach my kids, but my daughter has ha it lucky and many things come easy to her, and My son's Autism doesn't allow him to accept anything but victory. But I keep trying new ways to get him past it.

Yes, because clever retorts at hopeless trolls are sure helluva lot worse than spending a sh!tton of money on something you're very dissatisfied with.
Yes, I'm definitely the scum of the earth, but you're still dumber. Wouldn't teach my kids to be dumb...
