Firing while moving is a bit tricky now, a slight tip on "A or D" Button and that little cuss is flipping around and dem lazors too xD
Steering the locust now is a bit raw and not so smooth
Plus i often use the "center to torso" button during combat to have more brainspace for other things.

Just have to get used to it I think...

EDIT: I've just tried that 75% turn rate 1V LPL-Locust so far

So this just happened. Wandered into a King Crab and pestered it for minutes until its team back to help it and swept me up. 629 damage for a single assist and no kills.

If you had time to pump that much damage into a single KGC, you could've just taken its legs off lmao.

Confirmed playing with food. Legged and almost turned them into a stick. Best distraction ever. When the enemy team finally came to call, allies rolled the reds who didn't turn around.

I just witnessed a cool tactic. On scouting, 3 of the enemy team kept us busy until the dropship arrived, and the last guy was driving a Locust, and just ran right into the square. Rather clever, though it sucks that you can't stop them from getting away if they make it to the square.

So, who is Locusting in scouting mode and making I work? I am thinking I need to round up a couple of my unit mates to drop as a 4 man. I have not had luck dropping by myself so far. Haven't tried a locust yet either though ;)

Against IS it might work given the prevalence of slower SRM boats.

Against clans? I hope that you have something to counter SSRM6x5...

You mean going 50% faster than them with radar dep isn't enough?

No, most certainly not. I've had about 10-15 drops in it so far as Clan Wolf, and I've literally only seen builds like this one: SCR-PRIME

This is definitely enough to smash the living daylights out of you if you happened to be unlucky enough to be spotted first when rounding a corner. Always happens every match...

Especially during the extraction phase, on a small map.

Oh yeah, because you don't need as much ammo if you've a backup energy hand and it packs ridonkulous amounts of punch. Fair enough. I've been running my Jenny IIC splattermiester because it's fast and Clan tech.

I'd like to prove you wrong, but I'm kind of a CJF loyalist even though I think the IS has better weapons except for SRMs and Gauss.

If I was going to take a light against clans it would probably be my spider 5d, ecm, JJ, and some range. The goal of course being don't be seen ever, just collect intel points. The griffon 2n seems to be the most optimal mech in my hangar for 4v4 though. Sadly, since lights are my favorite class to play.

No - you simply don't need much ammo, it's still packing a ridiculous amount for the mode.

You're only facing a max of 4 mechs at a max tonnage of 55 each.
You're unlikely to need to deal more than 400 damage to kill the whole enemy team.
That takes a total of 2-3T Ammo in the mech to do. 4 Tons is giving yourself a fair whack of wiggle room.
You're only likely going to have to deal with 2 max on your own, so you vcould feasibly get away with 1-2T, but 3-4T gives you that extra.
And that's regardless of weapons - that's total ammo on the mech for any weapon.
I could go 2T SRM, 2T AC10 and it'll be the same end result.
This means you can do crazy things like 5-6 launchers/cannons, with only 2-4T ammo between them.

Different rules, different responses.

Yup. I think even going with stock 'well supplied' ammo counts ala TT is valid for this game mode. There's just far fewer targets to work with, so more DHS could work.
