It's not great. It's downright ridiculous.
I dearly hope that the Locust will lose its structure quirks if it got downscaled by that much. Moving at nearly 170 kph with such a tiny profile? It's ridiculously overpowered now.

And even being made roughly 10% smaller, with the quirks, it's still going to go down in 1-2 volleys.
Hardly 'ridiculously overpowered' at all, especially for most pilots.
It'll be nice to have, and those that are already extremely good at the Locust will be given a little extra edge, but the rest of us... it's a little help.
The rest of the Lights are going to be medium sized though.
That's less good.

Even the Urbie! wtf?
Any reason why the Panther got hella bigger but the Cheeter went untouched? Baffling.. It just seems weird that the light queue is often below 20%, yet most of em got bigger. It is true that a lot of the heavier mechs got bigger too, so I wonder if proportionally they did get smaller in context with the other classes. We'll just have to see. All we know is the Locust seems to benefit (assuming they don't nuke the quirks again).

Unless PGI is gonna juke Heavy/Assault agility again, Lights are even less viable now.
Bigger rescale. Bigger ST. XL engines. Yeah...
But hey, Locust should be tight.

Catapult (all variants): Movement Archetype changed from Large (25°) to Medium (30°).
• Jenner (all variants): Movement Archetype changed from Tiny (40°) to Small (35°).
• Jenner IIC (all variants): Movement Archetype changed from Tiny (40°) to Small (35°).
• Nova (all variants): Movement Archetype changed from Medium (30°) to Small (35°).
• Quickdraw (all variants): Movement Archetype changed from Large (25°) to Medium (30°).
• Spider (all variants): Movement Archetype changed from Tiny (40°) to Small (35°).
So Jenner and Jenner IIC will be less maneuvarable as well as getting bigger. Spidy also less twisty...
Nova now shares the Archetype with Jenner, Jenner IIC, Spider, Firestarter and the other 35 tonners. (Think also Cicada)
Hail Locust, King of Kings, Light of Lights.
Hail Nova, Light of Mediums

When did we ever stop ankle biting all the ballistic mechs that think 4 tons of explodium in their legs is a good idea?
