"just go ahead and die", "please end this" etc etc. Hard to justify dragging the game out another 5 minutes hoping to get more damage, when the final damage at this point is a couple hundred.
They tend to shut up after you kill a mech and thin the herd some. Lols.
Several times ive heard, 'hurry up and die coward...saving his KDR, god u sux, etc'.
I kill an enemy, all the sudden, 'sweet, carry for the win, hes got this...etc'.
I reply, 'Locust OP plz nerf'.

No regrets at buying it for 1500, so 950 would be even better.

I run mine with no ECM and 4MPL. I really like it. just be ready to have people ***** at you for not running ECM.

Might have to try 4MPL, could be good for a laugh.

yeah ended up buying it- 1/3 off and it's a locust- i'll figure out what to do with the ecm later- maybe swap it for BAP. seems like it's good to go as is otherwise

Some tweaking needed, mostly shifting Armour around, a little ammo moving and such, it's a pretty solid near stock mech.

it isn't a laugh, it works. Toss Derp and seismic and you don't really need ECM

I would want to sit down and figure it out.
Especially being it's 8 tons of weapons meaning probably have to drop the engine a tad, so min-maxing the quirks wouldn't hurt here.

yea I don't META/Quirk build my stuff for the most part so probably every mech I own is then considered "subpar." I also highly dislike SL/SPL builds. too situational to be good.
I used a 170XL with tweak so 15x.xx speed anyway.

Hows the heat with 4MPL?

Never realized you could drop those unused armor for some extra weight. Even with the default armor, it was very possible to get 1shotted, so keeping the dead weight on me just felt really silly).
I've been doing a good bit better. (At least I can eek out 60-70 damage now, instead of 10 to 20, haha). Still has to do a good bit to kit out the mech. I finally found where to skill up my mech, and that extra acceleration helped a ton. Can't wait to earn enough to start throwing those XL engines in.
I tried out the missile variant, and while I'm pretty damn horrible at it, I find it to be the best looking of the bunch.
Another question: if you buy a Locust camo, does it become available for every variant, as well as other mechs? Or are the camo Locust specific?

*Edited to clarify, unlocks are mech specific, so as long as you buy the unlock version of that camo for the Locust, it unlocks for all variants that have customizable camo, but is still only unlocked for the Locusts.

I will neither confirm, nor deny, that I may...or may not have...just purchased a 1E, leaving me needing only a Pirate's Bane to complete my..."collection"...
Or not. I'm not admitting to anything.
The above statement about things I do not have in my collection is no longer true. Thanks Boxing Weekend Sale!
And Ovion is spot on about that sucker too. All I did was move the 1 ton of MG ammo from the RT to the Head, and shift armor from the head to the arms. They aren't the best arms for shield work, but every bit of "shield" can help in a Locust.

To clarify some:
Expensive Camo option: Unlocks for all variants of one chassis (IE all locust you now own or ever will own) permanently (hence the big price tag)
Cheap Camo option: one time (there until you change it) for one particular mech
(not variant or chassis - the one you paint: IE you have 2 LCT-1V and paint one for 75mc
ONLY that one will be painted
Edit:
More clarification and swapped to a more appropriate chassis

Only buy One-shot camo.
I put that in huge font in every thread I see that brings the topic of camo up. Paying for a full Camo unlock is NOT worth the money unless you own about 8 or 10 of that mech (most mechs only have 3-4 variants, so you'd have to own multiples of a single variant to make the Unlock more ecomonic. Always go one-shot, it's super cheap.
Yeah buddy, get that 190 XL in there. The stock engine is good for stock mech matches (private matches), but it just doesn't work in real matches. GottaGoFast.

I change out the paints on my mechs frequently
I have only paid for cammo twice.
Once a perma-unlock for my Commando, another for my Centurion
With as often as I swap back to basic and back - it has cost me far less than the one-shot would have.
Having said that though - for those of you more decisive than I am, one shot is far cheaper.
