Found yet another reason to love Locusts.

I fell on top of an enemy shadowhawk and stuck. So I was riding him. The arms on the 1E can aim far enough down to shoot the mounted mech from this position. From there on it was a like a battle armor doing an anti-mech attack. He was unable to shake me off before the team finished him. I really wish they would have let me ride around buggy whipping him some more.

Probably my favorite maneuver I have ever pulled in this game, and it was completely by accident.

Especially being that with ECM, BAP loses half its effectiveness.

BAP can't counter-ecm with an ECM installed, you have to switch the ECM to counter, so all you get is the +25% sensor range, +25% tig and ability to detect shut down mechs inside 120m.
This just isn't worth 7.5% of your total weight in a Locust
And if you go by available weight for equipment (7T) it's a whopping 22% of your space used by BAP.

Also - thinking of trying this PIRATES' BANE, but I'm not entirely sure...
It's possible waiting till I can afford a 180 might be a better idea.

BAP+ECM = 3 tons, right there.

So I am now running 2mpl 2sl on the PB and I think it is my favorite loadout so far. It gives me more range than just sl but I don't have to deal with the burn time of the ml so it is win win :)

It's one of the few builds I actually eschew BAP on because I feel like it doesn't give enough for its cost when you have ECM mounted.

I've been in love with pulse lasers since before they were buffed. I love using the MPL to poke and the SL for a second little hit against people who brawl with me if my MPLs are on cooldown.

Ah didn't know that about ecm and BAP. Also, didn't know I had BAP on the PB so I must have seen 1.5t available and dropped it in there out of habit :)

Must be the urbies have distracted everyone from locusts for a moment. What, with all of the various threads with various pics of various trash cans hat needed to be tended to it was quite time consuming. ;) Now that Urbies are official we can get back to locusting.

One Urbies hit the scene. Its gonna be all West Side Story/Romeo & Juliet in this piece.

Urbs vs the swarm.

Fightin over turf.
Maybe there is a woman in involved i dunno. But there will be violence.

jest look out for the arrow 4 and ac20 urbies if thoughs hit a locust wont look very good

Way easier to score that 130 for the MC. Shield my friends from the Lurmies a little, and poke like mad.

That needs to be a machinima. I would happily volunteer my bright green Locust of brightness for use in such a film should it come to be.

Hat to break it to you (as I'd love to be able to as well), but no, no you won't.

At 15 tons there's no way to physically fit in the weapon and an engine.
We get up to 12.5T of space with just an (XL100) engine and endo in there.

(It's also 15 crit slots too, so I don't know how they'll implement that.)

What we want is Rocket Launchers.
RL10's, 15's abd 20's will be amazing for Locusts.

That said, I kinda want to try out an Urban Locust
