I don't drive Spiders, or really many jumpers at all, but is the dropship solid? And if you don't clip through it, does standing atop it count for being in the square?
If I were IS, I'd have to bust out my super-Panther and test it...

I was wondering exactly the same thing. I will see if I can try this if I get a chance.

Sorry if discussed above, but the thread has gotten too big to easily find relevant posts, and google searches only come up with stuff back in 2014 and earlier.

Locusts handle differently than commandos, so there is that. But if you are asking the question, there probably isn't a lot of reason to use the missile locusts over commandos or even the other locust variants. Some of us just have a sickness that demands we own and use all of the locusts

I favour 2 MPL + 2SRM2 for extra needed punch / finishers.
LCT-1M
LCT-3S

now admittedly with the roll back of the energy weapon range to 10% it can no longer tag from a different zip code, it can still spread hate and discontent to the red's back line. just get behind them, tag them, then light them up with lrms when they try to seek cover. not a big damage mech. troll mech of the first order. keep a close watch on what is around you. if you get caught by other fast lights you will not be able to defend yourself.

+1T ammo.
You could also take a backup weapon instead.

Been playing my 3s just now with the typical 4xsrm2 build. Its very much an harasser not quite so much a killer. You can run out of ammo quickly and stupidly fast if you have lvl5 srm2 cooldown too. What it does do however is tear open the backs of assaults at an alarming rate as the direwolf in a match tonight found out. Unfortunately it can actually only fire enough to rear two assaults before it becomes a fast paper weight.
The 1m equiped with a pulse laser and some streaks can work but is a little 'MEH'.

Yeah, I really like the 3s, but if you catch an atlas out alone, by the time you burn through his rear armor and internal structure you have just enough ammo left to harass a little then you're done.

Doing this in T3 is kinda hard. One game you win, good team, good players, moderate damage but many XP.
Next game you loose, weak team, weak players, moderate dmg again, but hti stime you are best of your team with 373 and don't get much XP.
Well, 1E is elited, now on to the next.

All 'Mechs: Reduced the brightness/flaring when firing Machine Guns in first-person view. This issue was particularly bad in variants such as the LCT-PB.

Oh good. Does this mean the SHD with two AC2s is not going to blind me any more? Nope? Sadface.
There's a lot of places where flare effects could be reduced, but this is a start.

Feeding season is here. With so many bears around, it's time for you to rack up some CBills. Particularly while those bears aren't particularly skilled due to the fact that players using them aren't dedicated assault pilots.
Harvest that hay while the sun shines!

Also, I rather like my Kodiaks, the little amount I've driven them. Still, can't hate on Locusts doing what Locusts do, since I'll always be a Locust ace first and foremost.
