668b. No, you may not be a test pilot for the project.

668c. You can qualify for the target dummy though - just ask your sergeant for more information.

670. Single heat sinks suck on the Tabletop game too. Take my word for it or learn it the hard way. ;)

(Currently playing BT with my little brother, its tons of fun but my current builds suck. DX)

Builds? I know there are mech construction rules but IMO one of the things that makes BT so great is the locked (ok, customization is possible but it's very hard and expensive) designs. Especially with the older tech you get designs that really have niche roles that you've got to utilize correctly. No BoomJagers there, just underarmoured mechs that need to keep their distance to shine.

Btw, I've found that the only thing that BT does wrong is Autocannons. The AC/20 might be the exception by virtue of it delivering 20 points of damage to a single location but in most other cases swapping the weapon + ammo for a similar ranged and damage energy weapon + heatsinks is a far better use of tonnage.

That's why we use a house rule (That I in turn found on the web) where AC ammo is doubled for its tonnage and each AC gets the ability to fire 2 when desired for 2 separate to hit rolls with a +1 to hit on the second because of recoil and a chance to jam your gun when using the double fire option (needing a whole turn and a successful Piloting skill roll to un-jam).

This has made Autocannons attractive again. Especially in a Merc Campaign where you've also got to take the costs of reloading etc. into account.

We use a lot of custom built mechs from Remlab and other online record sheet building apps.

673. It is not necessary to roll a pair of six sided dice in your lap every time you shoot at someone. In fact, the delay can actually get you killed.

673b. There is an app for that. It will even display on a secondary monitor.
674. Replacing LB-X cluster submunitions with giant, exploding D6s is not permitted.
675. Compact heat sinks do not exist. You have been warned. This tip is sponsored by the MIIO, DMI, LIC, and the NAIS. :)

678. Standard ammo does not exist for LB-X Autocannons. Anyone who insists that the Mechbay engineers mount it in their mechs will be banned from going on that silly Sarna.net fantasy website!

(It would be neat to have it in-game but it would make standard ACs useless if it was...)

679: Attention Mechwarriors, the use of battlefield deployed 'Catnip' is not a viable use resources to 'lure the mad kitties' into a trap.
680: Addendum to Memo #679, the drinking of coolant before, during, and after combat is a non-option.
681: Attention Light Pilots, your battlemechs have not 'skipped leg day'. They are inorganic machines and thus are incapable of growing myomer muscles. The engineers and technicians cannot 'make it go fast' this has already been addressed in the memo about racing stripes and flame patterns.

Would depend on the damage it did, I think.
If the LBAC slug did say, 8 damage?
Better range - less damage make a fair trade-off?
(something I am surprised didn't come into play earlier actually)

Either way it probably isn't coming any time soon.

79. You cannot equip a sonic screwdriver to your mech.
80. Rory and Amy, will not convince the Doctor to save you, no matter how sexy Amy finds you.

You're awesome for Doctor Who references. Just saying.

682. If an enemy 'Mech pilot invites you to a tea party over open comms, do NOT go to it. It's a trap. Every single time. Regardless how tasty they claim their cookies are.

683. The only person allowed to have "Highway to the Dangerzone" as the song playing in their 'Mech while fighting enemy lances is Dangerzone of the 1st Alphard Legionnaires. No exceptions.

684. If you feel the need to make a joke about how ugly your CO's mom is....DON'T

685. The only person approved to fire Arrow IV missiles on Forest Colony is nobody,

685. Texting while piloting your 'Mech is not okay. See attached PSA document.

686. Insulting the enemy before you destroy their 'Mech is never okay. After your destroy them, however, is.

687. No, the Firestarter will not 'get it started in here' for you.

688. 'Mechlab technicians do not appreciate it when you take a shit in the pilots chair and claim that you were on laxatives. Taking a shit in their bosses chair, is for humor purposes.

689. If you ask your mechanic for a 'Windex Module' for your 'Mech, he will be mad.

670. There is no point system in mech combat, and killing enemies "with style" will not score you additional points.
671. Hooting at female MechWarriors while they are wearing their skin-tight body coolant suits is usually not appreciated.
671a. Hooting at male MechWarriors wearing the same is usually over-appreciated.
672. The BattleMech cockpit is for YOU, YOUR GEAR, and VITAL EQUIPMENT, not pizza boxes and crushed beer cans.
673. Anyone who starts to say "Time to kick ass and chew bubble gum... And I'm all out of gum" will be cored by their teammates before they can finish.
674. Cupholders are Lostech. We can't build them. We just... Can't. We've tried so many times. The cup either falls through the bottom of the cup holder, won't go all the way in, wobbles around and falls out of the cupholder, or triggers its own mini ejection seat and flies through the cockpit roof. Even our best techs can't explain how the last one happens. Don't ask.

690. Attention Trainee Mechwarriors, due to the last live hardware training session this memo has been sent out. It is not possible to use an Atlas, Catapult, Trebuchet, and a Spider to form a "Megazord". Despite what the newly minted Mechwarriors have said the Atlas does not have a load bearing capability of 145 total tons.

edit:

691. From Engineers: It is not viable, efficient, or safe to fill the cockpit with coolant. Stop asking us.
692. From Science Officers: The proposed "Nokium" made from early Terran communications devices is not stronger than even Primitive Armor. Read part two of the Memo from Engineering.
693. The Onboard Computers in your Battlemech are not purposed for cryptocurrency generation. You will be court martialed on the grounds of Improper Use of Military Equipment, see the provisions in the Mechwarrior contract, and fined at minimum 1,000,000 C-Bills.
694. Maintenance Crews, technicians, and engineers are puzzled at how you managed to get hot pocket residue stuck inside the cockpit wiring. I will not repeat myself again Mechwarriors. Do not attempt this stunt again.

695. Arachnophobia is not an acceptable excuse for fleeing from arachnid themed 'Mechs like the Spider.
696. It is not possible to install an ejection seat in a Spider, and all new pilots are to be informed of this feature.
697. The solution to all your problems is not more Steiner Scout Lances.
698. Midgets are not regulation ammunition for Heavy Gauss Rifles.
699. Your company's Urbanmechs do not perform double duty as its trash midden.
700. The combat engineers are not intrigued by your idea of mounting skis on 'Mechs for alpine operations.
700b. Nor are they interested in aiding you in your attempts to build a dog sled large enough for an Atlas.
