Has anyone accidentally purchased a mech with MC because of UI 2.0? I think this is a foreseeable problem.

That tells you everything you need to know about this company.

Couple of items I recently noticed, sorry if they have been mentioned.

- When buying new Mechs, they are all lumped inot one big list. Previous UI had separate categories for:
Heores
Lights
Mediums
Heavies
Assaults

- If you ran a Trial Mech or sold a Mech off, you do not see the Mech XP gained from use, previous UI showed all Mech XP including for owned then sold & Trial use.

I had this same issue with drop outs until I ran the repairtool. I run it after every patch.

I've run the repair tool twice since the Feb 18th patch, still kicking to log-in screen after almost every match (and almost every time I try to log in) ... there's another thread about this issue, and I'm exchanging e-mails with support ... thanks for the advice, though.

I won't rehash everything said here. I has all been said. Can I just have the old UI back? Sad to say, but it was better in many ways...

Hi, not sure if this has already been mentioned, but at first glance it looks like you can no longer rotate your mechs 3D model in the mech bay, however I have found that if you grab it from the elbow it WILL rotate to about 90]°, at which point you can grab it by the forearm to keep rotating. Not working as intended

Widescreen resolutions are terrible in UI2.0.
The game has always run very well on 5760x1080, but UI2.0 killed that. It's still perfect in game, but this new shiny cool looking UI is nigh useless to me now.

PGI, the GOOD news with this new UI2.0 is that you need to fired your game designer and hire a new one! i am available :P

and why ingame i was @ 40-50fps and now 20-28? why did it fall so hard?

I popped in this weekend to play a few matches after not playing for about 4 months and I have to ask. Is the only real enhancement of UI 2.0 that you can sort your mechs now?

So far the game is now less stable for me and the UI is clunky and clicky. i looks a little better, but form was definitely chosen over function and function is what was important.

But now you can buy a disco ball and a dog to decorate your cockpit. Doesn't that make up for everything wrong with the UI?

You gotta go to inventory under home to sell mechs.

Yeah, took me an embarrassing amount of time to figure that out.

Since when this UI came out, I ve lost track of the frustration, swearing and issue i went thru just to try to play this game.

First of all, THE EXPERIENCE.

When you have a customer who gives up on your product and shut it down, just because of the level of frustration your UI is offering, obviously YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG.

Now, just trying to be objective, take my comment asa Customer Service situation. I had so far shut down your product AT LEAST 5 times since the new UI is out, just because I cannot stand it.

That is just a big problem.

Then there are all of the lack of intelligent design that is NOT technical issues, but just idiocy while designing.

Just a simple example:
- You need 3 clicks to buy a Skill - First time to buy it, then ask for a confirmation and then it tells you "you did it".. REALLY? Who designed that? a brain dead zombie?

Other things just to show total lack of Understand How you Own game works:
- You are offered to buy a Mech, but you CANNOT SEE what engine it has
- At any stage of your experience you can see what modules you have on your build. Sure, you can get into the third layer of Mechlab to have that info..

Your designer is not playing the game, is he? he has no clue what a gamer needs and what would like to see.

Because if your team had a littlle of undersstanding, woould put a box on the Main page, called HOME, where not only you can see a HUGE robot (pretty and useless), but you could also see WHAT that robot configuration is !!!!

I play the game, and sometimes I look at my Mech and I dont remember exactly what config I am using, but to see that I have to enter in SELECT MECH and hover on my mech to see it !!!!! WHY NOT ON THE HOME PAGE WITH THE PICTURE OF THE MECH I M SUPPOSED TO DROP WITH ???????????????????

My frustration raise and makes my blood boiling then when I see a situation like:

I am in a Group, I CANNOT DROP IF I M NOT BACK IN THE HOME PAGE, however if I m pugging, solo, I can drop from any screen I am on !!!!!!!

WHY ??????????????

What piss me off the most in all of this is that majority of the frustrating issue ARE NOT related to tech limits, which I would understand.
They are related to poor competency, absence of Quality Control, total denial when it comes to take suggestions from the BETA feedback, Inability to design a product thinking like a Gamer/ user.

UI design is EVERYTHING in a product, going from home electronic, to software, to ANYTHING interacting with your public.

Doesn t matter what is your product, you have to think first HOW your client will use it, and you SHOW US either you don t give a "beep" about we use it OR your Staff is completely incompetent and should be just replaced.

I am sure there is people working hard in your team, it s just a pity that for the incompetency of a few, the majority of the team goes under the bus.

Have ppl getting responsibility for their poor work and just get rid of them, make a big favor to your self and to your customers.

Oh... and just saying... i am with your product since November 2011, so I think i am a valuable customer....

When you go to buy a mech it doesn't tell you what kind of engine is in it. whether a mech has an xl engine or not is a vital piece of information.

Yeah, It would be VERY helpful to be able to see the loadout and stats of a mech you are buying. Not going to get many impulse sales with all the mech purchases being 'sight unseen' right now....

So I popped in to pick up the free champion mech, because I thought champions were the +30% cbill variants. Turns out they're not, which is cool because its still a great prize but it did bring up one important point:

Nowhere in the mechbay does it tell you that champion or hero mechs even HAVE bonuses, outside their unique hardpoint layouts.

Any new player that looks in the mechbay and is considering buying one of these mechs would probably shrug their shoulders and buy a normal variant.

The +10% or +30% bonuses these mechs have should definitely be at the forefront of the UI, its their main selling point afterall.

I'm NOT going to read through 53 pages of posts to see if this has already been asked, so forgive me if it already has.
The issue I have with the current UI 2.0 is that my 'Phoenix' camo is missing - MISSING! I thought I had it forever since I forked out real cash for the Phoenix mechs. Not a REAL issue as there are other 'bugs' with higher priorities but still...I did pay REAL money for it...

This is the way mechdesign should look like. Yeah additional graphics would be nice, but this is the bread and butter.
It even tells a a essential information i never found in MWO: how much ammunition have i loaded.
Plus upgrades are in the same window...Everything is in the same window.
this is simple and awesome.
So if you could even choose a new mech chassi, refit it as you like and buy it with the famous "checkout" That would be my wet dream of the Mechhangar.

Mech design don´t have to be pretty, it has to be simple and fast.

After not having played the game for a while i tried to outfit a mech a few minutes ago. OMG its horrible in so many ways ;)

All the elements i can think off are positioned in a nonsensual manner all over the screen.

Why do i have massive icons for equipement to scroll through but the overall information is some tiny text at the bottom right?
Why do i click on settings bottom right to have the menu open top left?
Where is the overview of my whole mech in the loadout screen?
Why do i need to go back to another screen for upgrades again?
aso.

This is a massive step back, god have mercy on new players trying this for the first time. Just bad.

They went with OOOHHHH shiny, so it must be good. So what if it works terrible.

There have been lots of games like that. And you know, I don't really remember thier names. Just remember seeing pretty that didn't last...
