the labelling went wrong (Info comes from german forum, will test after hotfix)
till that, I copy you the stuff they posted there:
Slider bar setting = real effect
low = high
medium = low
high = medium
very high = high
Please take this with a grain of salt, all I noticed was that I had bit reduced graphic with my normal settings (erything high/very high) and too much filmgraindepthoffieldetccrap (Postprocessing is always on low in my settings...which would equal "high" atm, if the info is correct).
edit: settings added

The game barley taxes my card when I look at the graphics monitor yet my frames jump between 30-60 sometimes below 30 (big fights) added the High End user.cfg from an old thread FPS went way up. This patch came through and back down to crap.
Two problems I have.
1. I don't think it uses both processors just one.
2. I don't think it uses my card to its full advantage.
I'm not being negative but the game looked and ran better for me FPS wise back in closed beta.
Is there any way I can make cry engine use my card and other processor?
No I don't have power save settings on for either the processors or the graphics card. So no parked cores and no gpu power save.
Please help this rig should easily handle this game.
EDIT: forgot to say yes V-sync is off.

It does look like the mappings for low to very high are correct, so for now the best course of action is to pick Low to Very High and then not touch any sliders.

Any timeframe for a fix? A good guess would be nice.

I'm currently unable to comfortably play due to the lack of extra wide screen support in the new UI, so I didn't get to play a real match. The inability to completly disable post processing, so I can make sure to have no blur effects, sounds like its killing it outright for me now. I can't play with blur and the slider for motion blur only disables some blur effects but not all of them. Playing at the lowest level of details just to avoid that, is not what I imagined for yesterdays patch.

That's got'a be wrong: When I set Particales and Shadows to Low, there are in fact shadows and smoke in places they should be turned off, whereas you set them two to Medium, and the two effects are turned off like one would expect for Low.
River City's Tunnel is probably one of the better examples to test for this …

The sliders are broken, I'm referring to the global settings low/medium/high/very high

But... I have motion blur off and as far as I know that should work. Its the additional blur effects that come with the various levels of post processing, like distance blur and such that I want to get rid of as well by setting post processing to the lowest value. Any user.cfg settings you know of to achieve that?

Will now try with predefined very high settings and no custom regulations.
Edit: This seems to work! Didn't notice any blur on my last match on Alpine Peaks
Thank you, Matt!

I'm wondering if they could provide a list of the ones that aren't locked down.

I also still have my old config file (the ultry high setting config from Colonel Pada Vinson in the Workaround forum section).
For now everything looks very nice again, but I didn't check specific stuff.
I just noticed most settings were at low/medium when I patched and most of my config settings were not working, or not overwriting the game settings (like LRM smoke and glow missing even with the ultry high config file).
