CarpeMortis and Shaka, names I recognise from forever ago!
I may have to reinstall Java just to play some MM again...

I haven't played Megmek in 6? years.
I used to have it installed on my Work PC so that when doing Tech support on weekend shifts by Myself i could play inbetween calls.
Mostly with just one friend though, didn't know that many people to play against at that time, and he continually kicked my arse. Damn Ex-military types.
Learned a lot about tactics during that time though.
and with the Boss's watching my PC traffic If I connected to a server they'd just block me, damn whack a mole.

Used to play heavily on the megamekNET first server, an awesome L1 3025 romp
However as megamek got better ( was incredibly bare bones at first ) teh server got worse:P
Last i checked in it was all just min/max players stackpoling each other in the same handful of mechs (firestarter, phoenix hawk, valykrie, etc) over and over
:the best thing about the megameknet campaign 'back in the day' was the people took great pride in collecting and using all sorts of mechs, from seeing someones crazy ' all urbie' or another super-rare crossfaction/starleague battleforce
