Tired About Cowards And Lrm Rain!

A. Assault mechs are slow.
They can't turn around, they can't do hair pin turns, they can't get back into cover easily. If you run around the corner in an assault mech you are committed.
There is no comming back, you either win or you die in that position. There is no easy retreat.
This has made assault pilots rather gingerly with their mechs. Sure it's a lot of firepower but you can die quite easily being caught out in the open without a chance of being able to get to cover before being gunned down. Most assault pilots try to swarm (Sounds silly right?) But it's true they stick to the herd and roll around in numbers because at least if they commit to an advance they know they have 3-4 other people with them that are commiting as well.
So the next time you are annoyed at your local assault pilot, do them a favor. Start scouting for them and help directing them to move up because it's clear, or move up we can take them. Don't get annoyed if they chose not to listen.
2. LRM's
The whole issue of missile weapons from LRM's to srm's to streaks as well as the electronic warfare system is simply flawed and needs a totaly overhaul. Don't blame people who use em, it's PGI's implementation of this system that's the issue.
Yes, pure LRM mechs anger me. Anyone with 50% or more tonnage dedicated to lrm's is doing their team a disservice.
But that is their right, just as it's my right to run a Locust with an AC2, and Medium laser. Build diversity.

Just the ones that want their toons to live forever Carrion.

As to the 50% or more Missiles doing a disservice... the Trial Stalker gave me a 200+ damage average increase, and I aided in the killing of 50% or more enemies in every match I used it. I however had a very good dedicated spotter doing his job very effectively.

1. Cowards..... there are lots of ppl in Assault Mechs who just hides behind the others and don't wanna make a step forward before others in lighter mechs dont do it.
I have seen Atlas Mechs waiting until the Battle is almost over, then step out with 100% armor and kill the rest of the enemies.. Meanwhile they hiding in a map's corner and just doing nothing. Doesn't matter wich type of game (Conquest, Assault, Skirmish) is played.
2. Freaking LRM rain. one or two fast light mechs are enough to keep track of the target and you will get ****** by like 1000 LRMs. AMS sucks and you cant always hide behind stuff when there is somebody in a light mech wants to shoot your back. You have to move!
Until the Trial Stalker appeared it wasn't that bad like it is right now. Everybody is just hiding somewhere, standing still while pushing one button and thats it. How poor and annoying is that?
And to be honest, lots of ppl just dont have the brain to flank the enemy and take out the LRM suckers. Even Atlas, Highlander and other Heavy/Assault Mechs are only carrying LRMs with them and don't take a step forward... just launching one LRM wave after another and this isn't funny anymore. Players like this should mark and keep their targets by themselves to avoid this goddamn annoying playstile. One damn Firestarter (who doesn't take any serious dmg for his 30 tons by the way) is enough and i'm melted by thousands of missiles... even while trying to dodge them behind hills/houses or whatever.
THIS JUST SUCKS.
Flame on!
oh and:
1. i play fast medium mechs, everyone is carrying AMS,
2. i'm good in dodging missiles IF they come from one or two locations but its senseless if they swarm out of like 5 or more mechs, each with at least one LRM 15 and there is no bridge where i can hide underneath.
3. i have a brain to think tactical but i'm mostly alone when it comes to flanking or taking out the LRM boats.
4. no, i'm not a good loser. i can lose a match no matter how i will be defeated EXCEPT when i get melted by LRMs aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall day long without any chance.
its okay for me to die to a 2xAC20 Jager, or a brawling Atlas or whatever kills me while active fighting me.. Its my fault to die then... But its a pain in the ass when there's another game where i just die because of so many missiles.
5. Every game i play where's almost no LRM suckers on each side is ALLWAYS a good game because the players are thinking about what they do first and... thats the point... they fight.
I play fast mediums too. I don't even bother using AMS since there is always plenty of cover. I have no problems with LRMs. It is easy to fire LRMs, but actually using them effectively is another story. Trial Stalkers don't scare me at all. In short, my experience is different from yours.

Two years of playing LRM assaults and having a good dedicated spotter should pay off somehow.

For what it's worth, I totally agree with you. This game has far too many cowards and too much LRM spam, which itself is a form of cowardice. This whimps would rather sit back in relative safety lobbing indirect fired noob rockets instead of fighting their enemy straight up "eye-to-eye" like a man.
Only thing you can really do while running solo is to build yourself an LRM hunter. It has to be fast and it should have ECM so you can move relatively undetected. Some good choices:
Raven 3L with 2 ERLLs
Spider 5D with ERLL+2 MLs
Cicada 3M with 4 MLs+MG
Once you find the LRM lobbing pansy, work on their legs exclusively (their ammo is almost always stored there). Really, you can use just about any light mech, but the above make the job easier due to the ECM. This is a very satisfying role for solo PUGing.
Bottom line: Don't get mad. Get even.

You still will be hit by missiles, but most importantly, they will loose lock.

In the rare cases where someone has tried this, I've simply aimed directly at them and continued to spam LRMs.

I think the must pilot a slow assault mech which can be very frustrating due to slow turning and how hard it is to avoid the LRM's that's on reason I don't pilot an Atlas I can't deal with the sluggish movement so I prefer Heavies. My LRM Boat of course is the Battle Master so I can move a bit better

Fixed that for you. LRMs are in almost every way worse than direct fire weapons like PPCs. What other weapon gives you the courtesy of telling you its been fired at you and a chance to dodge it? Theyre so bad.
