What shows? Any recommendations?

To be honest with ya, I'm watching the original Dragon Ball (not Z) right now. I never watched the show "back in the day" and there's plenty of boring episodes to watch while I play. Also, since the show goes at such a slow pace, I don't worry about missing anything major during the couple of minutes I actually need to focus on MWO.

Spoiler: Goku gets stronger. Sometimes he isn't strong enough, but then he trains some more.

lol, I know man. I thought this would be better than DBZ about dragging the story on forever, but it's not. Like I said, it's great for something to watch in the background.

You forgot the 3-4 entire episodes it takes for him to power up after training lol

That's more of a Z thing than a DB thing.

--edit--

And an MW:O thing, what with the the initial logos, the need to re-enter your PW for the game and the forums, the ready up screen, the gauss rifles, waiting for your teammates to reach the ridge at 50% speed, waiting for the fight to progress to the point where a brawler won't get mown down instantly, etc ;).

oh this has changed... lots of changes. congrats to the op for getting some discussion out of this.

DB-DBZ is nice to talk about, balance took lots of time there too. lots of episodes of time...

prefer the abridged version :(

Believe me you are probably better off doing what Mr Sandpit so vehemently wants you to do. His comments and arguments tend to be very opinionated. :(

means you have ZERO pertinent input on ANYthing to do with the game in its current state because you haven't played it.

Because that's MY opinion and even though you may have your own opinion, it's not allowed to be different than mine...lest I beat it with a soapbox.

You know, my cat uses a Sandpit (aka: Litterbox) for pretty much the same thing you use the forums for.

I am not asking you to convince me I am asking you to explain to me how the game has changed in 6 months. Perhaps I am wrong but from what I understand it is the basically the same exact thing as when I stopped playing. I was still playing in December so 6 months might not be completely accurate, but I didn't play much before that but still dropped a few games every few days. I uninstalled MWO when I saw the clan packs.

So my opinions just don't matter because I haven't played the game in the last few months and you can't come up with anything tangible to refute my first statement that the game has been boring for the last 6 months?

I understand what you are saying, I think many have been patient with the game's development and I am open to things they have done and very interested in how they are looking about balancing clan stuff which will be difficult. The lack of development last year was frustrating for a lot of people who had been here since the beginning. My point in that statement was the lack of anything really when the game was released, it was just like any other small patch before it.

I would say your opinion stopped mattering about the game right at the Highlighted. if you uninstalled and don't intend t play any more then what does it matter what you think?

I am going to try the game again, I am not interested in arguing with you guys anymore over this. The point I was getting at was the game is nothing but a grind and it needs more to it to make it interesting again instead of a constant death match for cbills. My point is made, you obviously don't think it is worth anything good for you.

Maybe he popped in to laugh at people who are so easily entertained with such a boring game; I know I do. Especially when I see players including myself who continue to invest a lot of money into this Universe with hopes of salvaging something tangible from it.

I miss my BVR fun with LRM/SSRM CPLT-C4, doesn't work anymore. I am first to die every match no matter how I hide behind my lance and use terrain.

Always been a Catapult/MadCat fan, tomorrow friend comes we will do it duo.

@ OP

I know. They need to restore the Gauss Rifle and PPCs which so many players could not handle, but it certainly wasn't boring when a few more weapons worked.

I don't find it boring, I find circle jerks in the middle of the map with Mlas and srm's boring. The meta being long range makes sense, the meta being short range cluster ***** doesn't. o7

Also what weapon "balancing"? here's my weapon balancing, fix SRMs, increase LRM damage, reduce heat on pretty much everything, ghost heat gone, Mega man charge up time on GR gone. Remove the ac20/10 nerfs.

I'm adaptable though, whatever the meta changes to, I'll be playing it. regardless if I agree with it or not. ( I had fun when the meta was brawling, and I have fun now while it's long range) The lack of content is the reason for me not sticking with this game consistently, not what weapons are "hot" right now.

Time to kill reduced to 1/4th a second thanks for playing go queue up again so you can get a brief sighting of the enemy before they vape you in one salvo go queue up again repeat until the backlog on your dead mechs in game exceed your available mechs and you need to wait for a mech.

or we can just add in respawns and play call of robot duty.

They really need to do some weapons balancing to change the meta of the game. Every game now is turtle up and snipe, or LRMS if you have them, this is making for one very boring game.

Weapon balancing isn't going to fix the problem. It will still be a variation of those three options because there is nothing else to do in a match that has any value at all.

Been over this in many threads, too over it to dig up previous conversations. We need Role and Info Warfare per the original Pre-Closed-Beta Dev Blogs, otherwise we're just playing glorified solaris matches from planet to planet. Maps are too small, we already have 100% of the intel we need going into a match, we get too much radar data by default shared from mech to mech, scouting is worthless, and so on.

Expecting "weapon balancing" to magically fix the game play here is like expecting to fix a crack in the Hoover Damn with scotch tape.

Love how Sandpit edited out the one part of Lord de Seis question in the quote that he clearly has no answer for lol.
