Have some questions:

1. Seems like there is no restrictions on what to bring regarding mechs/weapons, can this be confirmed?

2. Are we dropping as a 4 man lance against random PUG's or are we gonna set up 12-man teams and sync so we can agree where the lance duels will be done, with or without others spectating the fight?

3. And finally, how will the scoring be done? Win/Loose cup between lances etc? Amount of kills/damage on PUG's?

Hard to prepare for this when we don't know how the Event will be done.

1. There will be no restrictions on mechs for two reasons. A. The KISS rule of running an open tournament. B. As a community event, we don't want to reject people who may only own one mech/build.

2. There will be no sync drops and your lance will be dropping alone, not as part of a 12 man.

3. As I've said, our scoring methods are only known to Hell Hound and myself (the two scorekeepers). It will not be done the same way as last time so those who have been in our tournaments before will not know how it is scored either. This is deliberate, in an attempt to do our best to ensure fairness for all players involved.

The best way to prepare is simply practice as a team, get to know each other, and be ready for anything. There are no prizes other than bragging rights. The main goals are to bring as much of the community together as possible for some simple, good fun!

OK. so basically:

Drop as 4man team in PUG queue. Post results to scorekeepers for each drop. Scorekeepers will do their magic, and presto we have a winner?

Should be able to get at least 1 lance of 3rd Takata Lancers together for this, probably 2.

Ok so just confirm a couple of things....

We play as a lance but are not synching to face any particular opponent?

We report the results of our matches but what are we reporting? Match stats, win\loss? How do you prevent people from falsifying their reports?

How is Clan vs IS if we are just playing a fourman premade against randoms in the public queue.

We would like to participate and we understand you want to keep score methodology secret but....this seems really unclear on bow it is going to go.

We have participated i a great event hosted by the FRR, run Clan Trials of Positio with other units and compete in MCW so we are all about some community driven events, but really confused as to whats happening with this event. Maybe its buried in the replies here but can you clarify how the event is being conducted?

Yes, because insulting our neighbors is a fantastic way to forge an alliance against the Clan Invaders... I'd like to see how Russia would have done against Germany if they decided they'd reject our Sherman tanks and thousands upon thousands of Dodge trucks with the idea they'd just replace their losses with captured Panthers, Tigers and RSO tractors...

And as others in this thread have pointed out: where is this 'clan tech' you speak of? lol
