Since the patch, my ping also went up 20-40. Used to be 160, is now around 190, sometimes as high as 230.

Oddly Forest Colony seems to be where I'm getting the most FPS loss, while other maps like River City play perfectly fine.

I know you guys never gave much about performance, as you never optimized your game. I can play Crysis 3 on "High" settings with 40+ fps no problem, now I'm lucky to get more than 30 fps on low settings in MWO.

Hate to have to put it blunt like this Dakkath but filling the help tickets is doing NO GOOD. All they do is repeat the same not-working suggestions from this forum ("delete user.cfg and user directory", "delete shader directory and run repair tool") and it looks like they don't even read the tickets before copy-pasting their form letter nonsupport.
Sigh, there goes lost premium time. Would be nice to get THAT replaced since the game is unplayable yet the clock still ticks down...

Some of us have not just wiped the shader directory, we have done full uninstall/delete/reinstall cycles to no improvement. Don't spread meaningless and unhelpful "advice" that won't work.

They're just saying that because they have to reply somehow. I'm sure they're absorbing all the feedback and using it to pinpoint what's causing it and hopefully implement it in the next patch or two.

Well PGI "support" is basically useless - two days to even get a response, and when I include that I tried the repair tool and then a full wipe / delete directory / reinstall process they don't even read the ticket and just respond "try the repair tool and it should fix your issue", proving they don't bother reading the freaking tickets.
Shameful incompetence.

I'm trying to help, and telling you what helped me (after fighting with it for a week).
I'm still noticing some issues, but it's a lot better than it used to be, and that solution helped me, so it's not some nonsense solution I just made up on the spot.
If you';re having issues, open up a ticket, let support know, send them all the relevent info, and let them know what you've tried and what you're trying. It's the best way to get it fixed.

The problem is that many people "say" they follow those steps and don't actually do it. As someone who's worked in support, those questions are there because if you don't force someone to try it, often you find out that they didn't and it would have helped fix their issue.
If someone asks you to do a step that you've already done, let them know, but them reminding you to do it helps folks who were unaware of the fix.
I tried the repair tool. I tried DLing and replacing some object files. I sent in logs, and finally I deleted my user directory (which worked, and I later figured out was only the shader directory that was the issue, though I still may have some problems). Just because a solution didn't work for you doesn't mean it won't help someone else.

No, spamming back form responses instead of reading the help ticket is just a sign of laziness on the part of "support", along with being highly insulting to the paying customers.

1) Open Nvidia Control Panel/3D settings/3D control
2) In 3D control menu find "Vertical Synchroimpulse" and change it to "Adaptive"
3) Right click on "Mechwarrior Online.exe"
4) Find option "Disable Desctop composition" (this will make game turning off Aero at startup)
5) Turn on "Vertical sync" ingame
Translated this from russian, maybe not good enought.
Solution helped me to get rid from FPS drops (from high to low every 40-50 second & back to high) in MWO & Arch Age in DX11 mode.

I think you're on to something with this. Coupled with the cache errors OP was getting, I really think this has something to do with it.
Like all of you, I was getting weird FPS drops/stutters with the DX11 patch, went back to DX9 where the experience was a little better. But with an i5-2500k at 4.6-5 GHz and an R9 290 that's watercooled, I shouldn't be having FPS drops at all (was getting ~90 with Very High settings @ 1920x1200), so the stuttering has been irking me a bit.
Loaded up the testing grounds just now, same stuttering. However, running all the way around the map, looking in every direction, on the second "lap" the FPS was much more consistent. Still a couple hiccups here and there, but no drops to 20FPS like before. Very smooth. I'd say give it a try - since DX11 is a new rendering path, I suppose it makes sense to have to cache everything again on new maps.
Try running around each map a few times, making sure to look in every direction to "load" textures/shaders/etc. See what happens on the second lap.
I'm seeing this same thing happen. Run around in a circle (I use River City in the buildings) and on the second lap everything is mostly stable. I setup to run across the map while watching the windows hardware monitor and saw huge Disk read/write spikes at the same time I saw my FPS drop to 0. To see if I could curtail this, I installed MWO on a RamDisk (imDisk) and it kept the FPS drops from reaching 0 fps. I was still getting drops in the training grounds though.
I'm almost glad I saw this thread. I bought a laptop to play this game while on a buisness trip and have only been playing with the crappy stutter issue. Thought I had a bad laptop.
MSI GX60 @8GB W/ 2GB 7970 aka 8970 aka m290x
Also, I'm sure it's running on the discrete card. It's the first thing I fixed.

I use one of the most powerful systems money can buy I7 3770k (5ghz, watercooled "golden chip") with sli 780ti classified editions and even I drop down into the 30fps range, my system is worth more money than I want to admit.
But I have tried it on this one and my video editing system that uses two titans and a 4960x . I have gone through all the settings dx11 to dx9 etc sli on and off, adaptive vsync. To no avail.
I have underclocked my card (780ti normally Core @ 1300mhz ram @ 7225mhz). before patch my fps without vsync 200 fps with 120 fps (120hz monitor).
And I would not expect any drops.
So if my system is dropping down this low then something is wrong considering I can run crysis 3 at 1440p at 189 frame 8x aa etc
So to everyone, there is something wrong and they must fix it. It is not your machines.
Fix the bloody game!!!!!!!!!!!!

I do have to ask. Have you ever worked support before? Trust me, no question is too dumb not to confirm.
In supporting someone connecting to wifi, I've been asked "What's a web browser?" and "What's internet explorer?" (and yes, they were running windows).
Beyond that, the full response usually ask for more info if those steps don't work.
And there's no garuntee that the customers are paying customers in this case.
