How can you kill steal if this is a team game? You have contradicted yourself.

But that being said any achievement for kills is pretty stupid as we all know anyone can run by and get the killing shot without putting in any of the work.

I must admit, I felt a slight tinge of pain as I just checked my stats and saw all of my accumulated xp, kills, wins/losses, etc. reset to 0.

As for me, I'm finishing out my "training" on all mechs. Training being Master Module + 100 000XP.

As for achievements, I have taken the view that since I am latency challenged, they do not matter to me, but are another North American focussed award that the rest of the world, especially the West Pacific, has to suffer the bragging of those who obtain them. At least for the single mission based ones.

Achievements are not NA focused, they are an aspect of successful MMOs that work. It is more about how they are implemented. It is possible to make team oriented ones, it just depends on what the game allows and can be coded.

Do where are the kill assists and spot assist stats? So we have a better idea of our contribution and what we are really doing, the k/d ratio is fine but I want to see my assists as I normally get more of them as a team player.

Watching the stats works pretty well...

It's easy to choose "archived" and you get your old stats immediately. Well done. I would have been sad if they were lost.

Need to add back the Kill/Death ratio. This is the only available measure of ability in the game.

Kinda sucks that the Cadet Bonus achievements are retroactive, but none of the other ones are. It doesn't affect me too much, since I've only been playing for three months, but that's gotta irk some of the Beta players who've been around for a while and would have been well on their way to earning the big achievements.

Since they're making everyone start from scratch, it would have been nice (and a huge PR win) for them to let everyone earn the new Cadet Bonus achievements.

i usually dont even know i get a kill any ways,,damage makes the money,,my wolverine is used to keep lites out of our battel formation so they can do thier jobs and 2ndary recon,and with the speed to flank i can attack important targets by surprise,,glad to see achevements,,and i like medals too,,recon medals be cool,,top gun and even a medal of honor wud be way cool,,glad to see they are tightening up the game,,more weapons be a good thing,,shud be a good patch,concentrating on what needs fixed and what we need is a good thing,,

I can only say that i am deeply disappointed by how PGI implemented achievements.

Instead of doing it like it was suggested in closed Beta thread http://mwomercs.com/...ons-suggestion/ which the developers said they loved at the time (with proper millitary medals and badges) they took the easy way out and did a kids version of achievements.

But i guess PGI is just catering to their new target audience again..

Yep. Keep thinking this is a single player's game, genious, instead of realizing that your teammates ARE supposed to help you take down enemy targets. It's this mentality why we all keep running into players that become terrible at this game due to thinking they alone are playing.

If you're going to think about your kill being stolen, go play such games. MWO isn't one of them.

Looks like PGI has finished all promised key developments and have nothing to do but to spend time for implementation of such irrelevant and low priority things like this one.

Achievements are a component of CW.

Actually, many of us live in a world where the difference between being OK, good, or great is making $75K/year, $250K/year, or $500K/year and up...

I suspect the serving members of military units would have a similar point of view, but less about money and more about living.
