I commend you on forming this unit. The Nova Cats were the most vicious of all the clans to have to face in combat. Clan Wolf did not like facing them as it was stated on a few occasions. As a long time fan and lover of this clan, I am happy to see this here. I am hoping that they put the totem 'Mech in the game. That's what I am waiting for to purchase as my one and only clan OmniMech. The others, in my opinion, fail to capture the essence of the Nova Cat clan in my opinion.

I would kill for my Nova Cat. All the firepower of a Warhawk, but the dashing good looks that no other mech can grasp, in a heavy mech package. Absolutely love that mech. Prime and the 6xLRM15, 2xERMLas configuration. See either, you are going to have a bad day..

As I said, though, we are recruiting. If you like the Clan so much, perhaps you should pay us a visit some time.

I am brand new to this game, so as long as you do not mind my performance and output being less than stellar, I will be honored do so. My RPG Nova Cat character's name is Shen Drummond. He started with the 179th Striker Cluster from Sigma Galaxy.

I was recruited by the leader on day one of me playing this game. He promised to teach me and help me hone my piloting skills. 4 months later, I'm now a Star Commander and play pretty well. I still have lots of growing to do, but CNC has helped push my piloting to a level that I don't I could've achieved on my own. We're more than happy to have you, and help you.

Basic, absolutely bare bones DCing tonight. I am more of a "position" guy and less of a "call target" guy. I need to work on that. Fortunately, I expect, and rightfully so, my fellow Nova Cats to have the capability to intelligently select targets autonomously, anyways.

Anywho, one of the more reliable ways to deal with an enemy team on Alpine who has the high ground is to refuse to play their game and hole up in this part of the map. I have seen other Clans use this tactic as well, but PUGs in general are too short sighted (or dense) to do anything less than charge into a kill box.

Nova Bear (Ghost Bear) Valdusa joined us for this, though his utility was gone before the game even started. His arm was blown off right at the start! Rude! Very suck! Such amputation!




God damn, though. Torchfire and I did some serious work compared to the rest of the team! Unfortunate side effect of the enemy not rushing us until near the end, however. Until then, basically only Torch and I could hit the enemy.

A little vidbumping since it has been a little bit. We are very much enjoying the new group queues. Typically, the enemy team operates with a lot more thought and coordination. Does not mean they always think and coordinate well, however....






For the record, I hate saying GG at the end of a game that is anything less than a 12:5. 12:5 infers they put up a fight of sorts. 12:0-12:4 is just depressing to be on the losing team of. Saying GG at the end of those fights is just rubbing salt in the wound.

That is why I go with "Clan Nova Cat salutes." Honestly, I salute them for putting up what fight they did, and understand it sucks to get rolled.

Edit: Also, to the Star Adders we came across, good game. Once you popped Mile's Kit Fox, we had no choice but to push, and we were not set up for that on the map given.

When the entire friendly team fell, the burden of winning the game fell squarely on my trothkin's shoulders.

I played a little sloppy with the heat, but mechs needed to die. Immediately. Having at least one Nova Cat beside me at all times to cover my periods of overheat made it fairly safe to push the heat envelope like that. Still, I can do better in regards to heat management.
