My whine today is...work is sucking my will to play MWO, because I am more or less brain dead by the time I reach my computer. ;)

Just finished a 70+ hour week. Can barely keep my eyes open.

Not playing anything that requires hand/eye coordination.

Ah yes.... weekend events coupled with a garbage MM...

Just lost a drop because an atlas and a direwolf decided to try to follow me as I was off fighting a lone cicada that was trying to flank....

Our secretary was out for a week. Wow that was a change. Even with electronic devices I find myself working more and playing less. Got 8 FP games this week and 14 QP. My in game earnings dropped from almost 12 million C- Bills two weeks ago to 4.1 million this week.

A perfect "Oh damnit!" moment:

Now I have to play a whole extra match in that Victor, to get one point of damage for the daily challenge.

I marvel at light players who seem to be immune to actually being hit. They zig and they zag and nary a shot seems to land on them.

I play a stealth PB locust for this friggin event, and I get one shot while zigging and zagging with stealth armor on, on a night map. Twice.

I decide flanker back stabber role is not for me and stay with the assaults. Assaults get ignored and I get one shot again while ziping around with them.

Only success I have with the locust over the last two days as part of a wolf pack and only when I win the lottery of fate and the target decides to go after the Piranhas instead of me. Damn I don't know how you light aficionados do it, but I do know that any skill I ever had at playing them is GONE.

I figured it out.

4:27p.m. EDT on sundays is when teams absolutely go to ****, become terrified of getting their paint scratched and have no idea how to read a minimap.....

I have had some stellar teams that could fight through cast iron bare foot and others that could not find their own backsides with two hands and a mining light.

First gripe - I'm not 100% accurate with every shot I take, but this event and commando's, I know for sure I'm nailing it in it's CT with dual gauss followed up by 6 C-ERM's. There's absolutely no way these little dirt bags should be surviving this.

2nd gripe - I don't know what or why, but this event brought out every brain dead potato that seems intent on getting in the way as much as possible or just losing outright. Whether it's plugging up a funnel so the rest of the team can't get through, moving and then suddenly stopping for no apparent reason, running in front of you mid vomit to shoot, body blocking you so you can't reverse or to move forward, suicide charging randomly, blaming the rest of the team immediately after suiciding, goofy builds with a rainbow of lasers set to chain fire, groups or sometimes most of the team chasing down one caught out mech only to be outflanked and killed off immediately, and god awful aim.

Match making fixed my foot, I've seen T5-T4 players play better than most of these goofs.

Upset a catapult who has stopped in the middle of a choke point by asking him to move. He was pissed I was behind him. My assault only walks 55kph and had been moving steadily since drop. You guys do want the assaults in the front, no?

People doing whatever kindof BS, not playing the Game to win upsets me . Then when I do get frustrated and voice it, I get called off like "You need to remember its just a Game", and I go like "Yeah, but I still play it to win...!"

The amount of Games where my Team blew 3, 4 killleads because of stupidity, and dmg/killchasing the last few days is totally killing me . Its like a BasketballTeam being up 20 points 3d quarter, and suddenly starting to pass the Ball to the other Team all the time....and I am supposed to take that lightly and think "Ah well, its just a Game..." ?

Those are amplified even better when they run in front, get on VOIP and start raving about us assaults not being in the fight, expecting us to somehow magically teleport there.

Or it just could be everyone say’s “it’s Bud” and focused you. I know I would target you just for giggles. Forget winning....kill Bud

Not to quibble about #1....but you need to look at the armor/structure stats of the commado. If it’s fresh, it will easily survive dual gauss to the CT and if you think you are landing the full burn of 6 c-erml’s to the CT on moving commando you are dreaming. Those lasers spread everywhere. Heck, I survived dual HG early in a match last night....the survival tree gets the credit for that.

You ain’t wrong about our second gripe...it’s crazy

Oh yeah, that happens occasionally, but honestly I think I have simply forgotten how to position, play, and even approach light mechs in this game. I mean when I am forced to play a light (outside an event like this) I play a Wolfhound Urby or Cheetah and those are all outliers imho performance wise. Playing a locust or mist lynx, or other small fragile light and I am just way, way worse than my normal level of mediocrity. I don’t know how other’s make it look so easy or at least fun.

Worst part is, is that I still have two kit foxes and a lynx to level up. Good thing I am a gluten for punishment. :)

I have come to the conclusion to keep what little sanity I have left, I focus on my game not what the others are doing wrong. I try to help the team win by accomplishing the objective. When you hold the enemy base it causes the other team to make mistakes that hopefully your team will capitalize on. Plus the enemy will try to root you out, this gives me an opportunity to do do damage,CDs,get Kill Assists,Kill Most Damage Done, and Kills.

Try to stay sane out there.

So i've all but abandoned this game lately for Battletech.

Are the games here still **** with match after match being 12-2 stomps?

**Edit** quick scan read says yep the games are still awful.
