i wonder where everyone else is and go spectate the rest of the team who apparently stopped about two steps beyond where they were when i passed them up. other side tightens the noose and we get stomped.
oh and then "need help at X" i go to X from other side of the map. no one else is there and i die alone.
and trying to get into the whole lrmageddon 2.0 thing. constantly running out of ams ammo due to the lrms on the other team (oddly my team never seems to have any/many) so i decide to play some lrm mechs other team have 4+ ecm mechs (oddly when it's the other way our side is lucky to have 1) and can't get locks the whole time. TAG seems to say "please shoot this mech now" to the other team. again oddly it fails to have this effect when the other team does it.
somehow got to 8 wins in about 4.5 hours. glad i'm only in it for the mechbay...

If you barely win and it was actually down to the wire... good play and what not... THEN it's cordial to say it. You don't say 'good workout' to a punching bag, don't say it to me.
No... just don't. Congratulate your team in private and call it a match.
I use a self-imposed rule of thumb. If a game (win or loss) ends with a score range from 12-6 to 6-12 I will throw out a "GG". Any less and I remain politely silent.
Either way though, our own team will get, at the very least, a "good try folks", since even in the worst of "roflstomps", at least some of the players, generally, actually were trying...

It is making for some lousy games.
In addition while the "run towards the enemy" factor is up, the stupidity factor has climbed through the roof!
There is little thought about keeping the Assaults with the team and abandonment is more prevalent now then I have ever seen it.
I'm in such a grump over it all that I'm out for the rest of the day and stressed to boot!
Blah!

I've done that on Alpine in my warhawk...started by the base on the low side of the mountain (SW side) and worked all the way around to the back side of the mountain. The enemy at the top of the mountain kept their backs to the cliff, firing at my team tat the bottom of the ramp (team would not advance). I ripped them apart (7 kills) because I had time to get to the sniper hill behind them, and they never turned around...

So I was in that bright red and yellow beast, on Caustic valley (Skirmish), we spawned on the top base by the factory (B3), and I decided to take a stroll, in my 50Kph truck, and head to c5, while my entire team went the other way, and I stood by the ridge on C5 to D5 while the entire enemy team kept on ridge humping the outer lip of the caldera shooting at my team. I kept on firing my 2 Gauss, since they are hard to detect, as I was afraid people my spot my easy to see mech. After 1 minute of doing that, and about 8 separate limbs blown off, and 2 kills, I decided to start using my lasers as well, because clearly the enemy team is refusing to see me.
Sure enough, I start firing my lasers. I had a coule of shots that just crossed between the entire team and shined on towards the opposite end of the map. Do you think any of them turned around to deal with the mech that just fired a bunch of really big lasers, clearly from their side? Nope, they kept on trying to ridge hump, and shoot the rest of my team. Two of them saw me, and they just ducked and ran away, and clearly didn't tell their 7 remaining teammates what they had seen.
Fast forward 45 seconds more, and they bum rush us while 0-5, and get cut down. How is that supposed to be normal?
EDIT: I should really emphasize that I was alone the entire match. I didn't feel like we won. Instead, I felt a piece of my soul die.

Friendly T-Wolf walks infront of me soaking 50+ points of damage that would have killed the enemy Atlas-DDC's ECM.
How do people still not understand the simple concept of not walking in front of your allies while they are shooting things? It's not like this was the opening salvo, I was taking shots back and forth there, and the guy saw it. He still walked after I launched my lasers?

not always....sometimes, I'm the only one at a particular firing point, then just as the enemy starts returning fire, someone will run up behind me (someone that wasn't being shot at) just to hold me in place....

Yeah, the figured they could provide a shield against these shots, by holding you in place. Even if there was no one else on the team near you. Stupid can get colossal in here.

Derp derp derp derp, that is the definition of MechWarrior Online.
You think these kids even have a concept of any competitive FPS tactics?
"Derp derp derp , Energy, what are you talking about ? MWO isn't an FPS dude! Energy, it's completely different than MechWarrior 4. Energy, angles, map awareness, crossfiring or any team based FPS strategy do NOT apply here. I know what I'm talking about Energy, MWO is my first online PC game so I am experienced"

Cross in front of an "Ally"..."Stop blocking my shots idiot!"
Try to phase through an "Ally"...mech doesn't seem to have that module.

I feel your pain... had some idiot in a shadowhawk do this to me for an entire match (I was in a DW)... and when I died he ran off to a far corner of the map avoiding all combat.
