I feel your pain... had some idiot in a shadowhawk do this to me for an entire match (I was in a DW)... and when I died he ran off to a far corner of the map avoiding all combat.
I think I may have been in that match. Was it on Terra Therma. Or at least it was similar. Shadowhawk ran away and hid with nearly full armor left and then shutdown on a mountainside near the edge of the map.
Killin's too good for 'em, hangin's too good fer 'em, they ought to be torn into little bitty pieces and buried ALIVE!!!!

I had a post about just the same thing about 4 or 5 months ago. The Atlas should be able to drop his tranny into low range and crush the Spider like a beer can.

Mine was on caustic. I got dropped by server right at start of match then rejoined to have some dmg to my legs (from what i dunno was a good distance from any drop) with this idiot face hugging and circling me. But he claimed not to have shot me.
Their name did not happen to start with an "F" did it?

Interesting glimpse there......
I'm strictly referring to the size/weight of the mech. An Atlas walking along at 50KPH should not come to a complete halt when a Spider stops in front of it. Maybe a Locust is a better example.

I also got hit by that conspicuous behavior this weekend, and disregarded the name too. It's best to report it to Support, of course... but after hours of solo-queueing, frustrations like that are easier to handle by just Leeroy Jenkins-ing to the next match~

Like, I don't mind PuGs necessarily...but pick a plan. Literally any plan. I don't even care if that plan is "stand in a circle facing outward like a herd of Muskoxen and die to LRM/Red Smoke/ECM Snipers".
Just pick any plan, and do it. Together. Without trying to fight tiny little battles solo in every corner of the map and then blaming everyone for blah blah blah and such.
Any. Plan.

I think to myself, "awesome, a plan, I'm down with that", and follow him along with just under half the team. I'm encouraging people to move together, stick with this plan, etc.
1 guy in a Catapult starts calling folks noobs, and as 4 of us successfully pile on the base, he stands off to the side of it and starts launching LRMs at the trailing enemies.
Just stands there and does nothing when the enemies reach the base, even though if he'd stood on it with us, like the "plan" said, we'd have capped it and won.
Instead, I get killed in the counterattack and decide to observe this paragon of playstyle.
Catapult stacked with an AMS and nothing but LRM5s.
No back-up weapons. No TAG. No anything. When he inevitably ends up the last one alive and find his whole loadout useless, he starts in with the noob stuff again.
If that build is considered elite end-game stuff...count me out.
3 more wins to go. And no respite in sight. I stoically carry on.

I feel for you, but it's kinda funny.
No more challenge = no more target locks.
