Just fought a Scrow one on one in my Firestarter-S

Managed to take one leg off, and almost take the other before he killed me.

What do my teammates do when they find him?
Try to torso kill him.

The message of my 'mech being destroyed is much less funny how that the messages have colours.
It was hilarious back when they were all orange

That's because they don't seem to use targeting info' even if they lock target. Not sure why.

Max engine,LBX10,cooldown module and couple of lasers are the thing for Dragons,the recycle time (or the lack of) is just silly.with 1N you can use a pair of SRM4:s in the torso,which helps a lot.

Darn it!! want to get a Wolverine 7k to continue eliting them. Costs 3005 MC but only got 4 MC in the bank meaning i'd have to buy a 3000 and 1250 MC package wasting some MC.

Need to stop using MC to convert XP to Cheat grind.

Dragon's are superb mechs once you get used to them (took a while for me to) but i love my Fang now it's a brilliant striker (use XL's always) XL 300, LB-10X, Machinegun, LPL (arm), Ml, Srm6, ample ammo, move as much armour to front CTR as you dare, general armour increase (right arm bias and drop some off the head) and DHS punches holes in people before they know what hit them! Use those very wide range of movement arms to your advantage.

Agreed with the Direwales but then are Fatlasses any different? There's a bit of an Assault or nothing mentality on here where people are obsessed with firepower figures when a Locust 1E can happily take down an atlas if the pilot know's what he's doing. ; )

had a match today in my cent-d (2ML 2ASRM6s) in river city- of course both sides switch starting points before the serious fighting takes place. i see something lrming on the opposite side of the dropship near the bridge (i came from the path on the far right from lower) and see an Atlas, 2 or 3 LRM10s, PPC, lbx and i think a ML or a LL or something. figure what the hell- start firing away from within 90m so the PPC is useless. take out one side, take out the other side. CT is red- see a friendly laser shooting at it- heat was already high but i said "no way dammit" and alpha'd it for the kill and promptly overheated. no way i was letting someone else leech that one off me. i look up at the score and it's 2-8, the other team's up and i notice- charging right at me in the river.

wondering what everyone else had done i charged to certain death flipped through targets to find something hurtable. hmm all AC jager with dark orange CT. shoot it a couple times and it finally dies- no arms at this point. see another jager with a bright orange RT- i shoot it, boom xl engine, it dies and there goes my leg. then i overheat and get blown to pieces shortly after that. final score 5-12 we lose, 840dmg 3 kills 0 assists. my first actual carry harder match though one guy did have 500+dmg and a kill.

was saying to myself "all that double xp i could have gotten for the win..." (still working on mastering it). i end up getting the win next match where i died with 120dmg and 1 assist...

How can you and your friends drop in the Solo queue against another group,smell of bullshit off that one bro.


My whine is I hate the solo queue it seems to place me on the side who literally have no clue what they're doing.

Group queue is public queue too. Public queue is not just the solo players.

You were in a group
they were in a group
unless you have magic access to the elo of all 24 players you have no way of knowing it was unbalanced at all, and of course elo balancing has to have a pressure release unless you want people to wait in queue for eternity

It was my turn to have crap matches last night. Three games filled with utter muppets. One particular game my side had a particularly generous amount of clan mechs who proceeded to spend the vast majority of the game hiding. One Direwhale in particular was next to useless. the rest of my team then proceeded to stand out in the open while the red team tried successfully to tear them to shreds. The red team had a bunch of lights that were able to flank us and get a few shots in but for some reason wouldn't come too close (think it must of been the number of clan fail mechs). My Humble grid iron was one of the highest scoring mechs of the game and i managed to damage all but one of their mechs. Somehow we won!!!!!!

Seriously beginning to think most clan mechs are piloted by newbies or total muppets.

Then we had another game in canyon network where the entire blue team decided to wander around the canyons then wonder why they kept getting ambushed. All of them seemed oblivious to the ECM Cicada 3M i was engaging that was spotting for the Red team and consequently my team crumbled like digestive biscuits.

The "can't drop with my casual friends" thread. The staggering gall of some of the people attacking those that are disatisfied with the group queue beggars belief.

Oh and the sheer smugness of the solo players gloating over small group's current predicament is also disgusting.

Considering the years of abuse solo players took when they complained about the mixed queue, it really isn't all that surprising.

It's the same problems the pub queue had before when 4 mans were just curb stomping the hell out of everyone. Now it's moved to the group queue. I hate the smugness, and the whining, to be honest.

We have a saying in my country for this situation: Same S#!t different smell.

Still does not make it acceptable. I was one of those solo players too once, and I'm not at all smug. I see both parties' agony and it does not add up to anything good. These changes have made solo queue worse for me, and group queue too.
Though imho, facing 4 people on voip is a lot less bad than 12-they are smug they got their way and simply don't care that others got screwed over. I'm all for solutions that benefit everyone, not just a "majority."
