Yep... knew it the instant I saw it. My goal is 2400 mc over the next few days. If successful, I will be satisfied.

The cap is 2000

Can we talk about this Frozen City thing again?

Seriously. It's like, I may as well just power down and die when I end up on that map it feels like sometimes.

I don't get why so many of them fail at math?

All you need to get the 20 MC is 130 points. 7 assists = 140 points. Done. You don't even need to worry much about your performance. This should in fact, be one of the most laid back events ever. Since you're practically guaranteed to earn the points. Unless you died in the first 10 seconds.

True, but i am more talking about the previous tournaments. I exclusivly only solo pug. (Since the rest of my unit is from the United States timezones e.g.)

The solo que is bad. I TRY play normally as always but the behaviour these puggies in the solo que always change when a tournament or a event is running.

The previous event i have played over 200 matches to get about 93%. I don't play much, but the behaviour is wack. I only play a Assault. Luckily i dont care about tournaments and i don't do stupid tournaments.

I am not going to be that meatshield anymore untill the tournament is over. If i cant make them change i will just join them and hear the whine come in 'Why didn't you tank or why didnt you push Atlas'.

It's terrible. It;s not the tournament, it's the players.

The X-5. I want to like it. In fact, I don't dislike it. But my win loss ratio in it is .56 which is making eliting it a real chore. I might have to take a break from it for awhile :(

I just don't get it...2000 MC is like what, $10? Which makes 20 MC worth around $0.10. Why are folks dissing on their team for a lousy 10 cents?!? I had a match last night where some (most likely) juvenile was complaining about the team because we were losing, and in the final tally most of us dished out over 300 damage! I suppose I get what I get when I'm pugging, but when I only have an hour or so to play, I don't always want to fire up TS and join the group. Last night's behavior was bad enough, though, that I may change that.

I know that I generally shoot at, at least, 7 mechs, and usually manage to kill, at least, a couple of them...

Now, if only my team could consistently manage to polish off the rest, I'd be in great shape. ;)

So, here's my daily whine for the day:
  • Why is it people (seemingly especially around the right-after-school time) feel the need to backtalk sound advice in matches? (Particularly PUG matches.)
The only reason I bother to, is bc most PUGs (esp. around that time) seem to be extra stupid. One guy over to the left, one guy over to the right, a few scattered in the middle, 2 heavies or assaults in the far upper-right corner, a few lights randomly going off to poorly scout (& ultimately suicide usually), and of course the random AFK guy or two.

You tell them to stick together or attack priority targets. At best, it's just silence while they continue running around in circles like headless chickens. At worst, an arse-hat or two will backtalk you with some asinine sarcasm; like they're a bloody 12 year old backtalking their parents because they think they know better or can't control their mouth bc they're at that rebellious stage in their life.

Please, learn & follow the basics; or listen to basic advice and put your bratty teenage persona in the bin.

As long as those basics don't include "stick together" which means they will all stand in one square passively.
Better to say stay close-but loose.
The amount of awful games I've had tonight from what I remember doing around 80% awful games. Teams just standing about , milling and idling. Or type two those who lose their nerve when they see another mech and grind to a halt because they might get shot....LOL.
I wonder if voip will help to stop the sheep and the cowards?

YES!!!!

Stick together does NOT mean everyone should try to gather in the same mech's cockpit

you MUST leave room for everyone to maneuver, otherwise you just spend all drop getting held in place by scared noobs and shot in the back by those who cannot tell friend from foe

After the wife stopped annoying me tonight (just booked a holiday and then she's straight into trying to find another one) i finally got a couple of group drops then spent the rest of the night getting one shotted. Never have i been killed so quickly and easily until tonight.

Fellow mechwarriors don't play when your distracted!

Oh and to the blue helmet jockey in the direwolf that was deliberately repeatedly shooting me and removing both front and rear armour i hope your reactor beaches and your cockpit jams so you die a slow nasty death. Yes i did shoot back and it took my team mate to actually block him to stop him from killing me.

When you play match after match with names you don't recognize from Buster, and you average anywhere from solid to dominant in your performance level, only to finally end up in a drop with someone you recognize and respect from the forums, and somehow THAT'S the game where you go all jelly-brained...

It makes for that hilariously awkward mental conversation, where you almost consider apologizing, but know that anything you say is just going to sound...awkward squared...

"Sorry, that doesn't usually happen to me"? "Don't worry, I'll be better next time"? "I don't know what happened, no it wasn't you, it was just, I don't know"? "Oh, I just wasn't paying attention, were we supposed to be doing something?"

;)

i think it is time for me to park the assaults (and lights) and pull my wang out or maybe the AH and go back stab people.
