Been away from the forums for a bit, what did I miss?

Tell you what I DIDN'T miss...

Canyon Network, just now, me in my RVN-3L(C) with (NARCs).

I say, "I bring NARCs" in Team chat, just as someone else says "Lock targets for LRM support". Perfect I think to myself.

I rush wide right around the enemy rear, and arrive solidly undetected. Rush in, drop a NARC on an AC/20 Jager, duck around a corner, and watch the LRMS rain in. So far so good.

Duck back in, NARC a Stalker, a Ryoken, what I think was the Dragon, duck back behind the corner and find a lone Boar's Head with BAP, zip wide around him, and come in behind the other guys again, leading the Boar's Head on a merry goose chase as he tries to follow me up the ridge and over. Drop an Airstrike behind the KGC, zip in behind the Stalker again, NARC, he doesn't realize I'm there, drops down off the bridge, getting LRM'ed 6 ways to Sunday, he's almost dead, I plink him in the CT, he's dead.

Run back around to the Boar's Head, and find our Koshi playing Cat and Mouse with him. NARC him, and then shoot him a bunch in the back while he chases the Koshi.

Meanwhile...

Our team starts dropping, one at a time, dead, then dead, then dead, while Me and this Koshi are picking away at this Boar's Head.

Next thing you know...the dead guys start whining about how the Lights (me, the Koshi, and the other RVN) don't know how to play a team game, and while we were off doing whatever, Red team's lights were behind the rest of our guys spotting for them, and that's why we lost, and we should have been keeping the Lights off their backs, and by now, it's just the 3 of us left against the whole rest of their team, and it's so obviously and totally our fault and everything.The other Raven kills the Boar's Head, I kill the X-5, and then I lose my leg, and end up dead, and then we all die, and it's over...

Scores pop up, and now, I see 3 Problems with this premise of blaming the 3 Lights.

1). If they won, strictly because their Lights were behind us spotting...and that's the ONLY reason...then why, in the name of Bartholomew didn't WE win, because that is practically ALL I (and possibly our other lights, I have no idea) was doing for OUR team the entire time!

2). If you have 3 Lights, and none of them are Firestarters of any variety, and those 3 lights, represent 3 of your top 4 damage scores AND 4 of your 6 kills, and even though the number TWO guy on that list is number two, even though he is only carrying, literally, 3 x MLs, 1 x SRM-2 and NARCs, I'm pretty sure the problem wasn't your Lights.

3). Seriously. Just look at that.

Yeah, didn't miss that.

Then add the shame transference as well-very poor.
During my time on WoT I ran a mod called xvm-it basically displays in game basic stats for each player in the match and colour codes them in broad brackets.
Mine was set up something like this:
Deep red=awful player (bot level basically)
Red=Bad player
Orange=Below average
Yellow=average joe
Green: Above average
Cyan=Great player
Purple=Rare "pro" level player

The odd thing I noticed was, I was screenshotting ALL my matches for about a 6 month period...this was due to trying to prove the mm was fixed (a fact accidentally admitted on us forums by a WG employee-LOL) my teams were usually something like: 1 cyan (me), 1 green or 2 yellows and the rest and I do mean at least 11 other players ALL red or deep red. We are talking people that have over 15k battles under their belt that STILL can barely play. FIFTEEN THOUSAND ATTEMPTS and still have not improved. I doubt MWO is any different:)

Then we have the culture here in the West where we are not allowed to say anything to anyone about anything because it's "nasty" and they have the divine right to do whatever or behave however they want "because."
Expect nothing less mate. This is why stats mean nothing. You are at the mercy of your team mates, utterly and completely. They can and will do whatever they want and there is nothing you can do do or say about it, because if you do you are "wrong" and are a whiner or rager...apparently.

Just try to take pride in what you can salvage in any given situation and try to glean what joy you can out of it. If you play with friends, revel in that.

@Rip - don't you know that if you are going to bring a light mech into battle you need to do at least 400 damage and get a couple kills to make up for the people who bring assaults and can't break 100dmg . Oh wait, you did. I guess carry harder But someone should definitely give a cookie to the nova pilot on the enemy team.

When a mist lynx has more damage than 2 timberwolves and a battlemaster combines, the problem wasn't the lights

CW drop...enemy team is a 10 man group. before we even drop in, people are giving up and saying we cant win. sure we didnt win, but your failtarded in the head to give up before its started. cowards like that should be shot on sight.

WTF is going on with my framerate!

you would think a FX 9590 @ 5Ghs with 32 gig 22400 ram and 2 4-gig R9290Xs , completely liquid cooled with 2500 watts of cooling would manage better than 20 fps running LOW settings, 64-bit when MWO is the only non-os application running!

4 days away from mwo. First day back today, 20+ games-ALL of them horrible. This includes 3 awful CW games. My teams either stood about and camped or if they did choose to fight, got utterly outplayed on every level.
There's me stood there, trying to work out what to do about it. It didn't seem to matter what I did in the match to be honest, if I derped out and died early I lose. If I got 5+ kills, I lose...near 1k damage I lose....

Solo queue at the minute is pure misery incarnate.

While my head knows you're right, the truth is, this is my first NARC mech (I did it to try 'em out), and it is a lot of fun really, sneaking in behind the Red team and hitting them with NARC. Sends them buzzing like a kicked hornets nest, even if it doesn't guarantee a win, and even if we don't have any LRM boats on the team.

You nailed it man, and this is exactly how I felt, even though I was "inspired" to share the story here. It was too classic to not post in The Daily Whine.

Seriously, my fellow Light pilots where the best part of that match. The Koshi and I did a great job of circling that Boar's Head on opposite sides with one dodging and drawing his fire while the other had clear shots at his back, until the other Raven got there and added his fire also, ending up with the kill. Textbook wolf-pack on a moose type stuff. It was a lot of fun. The MLX was named Lamppost, and the RVN was Tascalia, and I tip my hat to both of them.

Looks like my luck is carrying on...played 15 or so on my clan alt today and oh dear me.....the quality of teams was beyond horrible.
Though one highlight was 1v1 with an ac40 jaeger in my lynx(4 smalls+mkIV TC) and winning:) Like a demented frog on lsd with glowsticks:P

the reason why games like this get completely stupid is something about the players themselves.
theres a species of human that just cant stand their ground.
they have no balls to show their true persona on the internet.
they just cause problems.
as soon as you mock them a little bit or show some true facts that make something they achieved a little bit cheesy
they go full troll and ignore everything else just to make you look bad.
even if it wasnt something that harmed them much or tried to explain them something, how stuff works from a different point of view.

if you would delete such terrible useless and pointless trolls from forums there would be a much better communication and a more friendly overall situation.

Good god, 15(FIFTEEN) games in a row the "flawless" working matchmaker decides to give me a bag full of sh*t to carry it to the peak of Mount Tryhard. Freaking hard to keep your W/l over 1.3 and yes PUG life is hard and short.

im running it at steady 1.0 because i do only solo que,but sometimes the MM tosses me into the most unforgiving stomps ever
