yeah we had a bit of french in grade school then i added latin in high school which was a breeze after taking french. forgot most of the latin but still remember a decent amount of french- i kinda lost my way when we reached the difference tenses though as far as that went.

i did pick up rosetta stone to try and learn some japanese. made some progress then stopped about a year or so ago- need to pick it up again. still remember some bits and pieces though.

but yeah in the US taking a language was always a "do i have to?" thing. we only had french/lation in grade school to pick, then spanish and portuguese got added in high school but already started french at that point so stuck with it. but in my school days it was pretty much:

only need french for some parts of northern new england (and new orleans)
only need spanish for florida, california, and the states along the mexico border
any other language was limited to a few small areas here and there or if you planned to go overseas.

now spanish is turning up all over and would have been the better language to pick back then.

i think, solo pug queue is totally unplayable now.
since one full week i seen more and more complete clueless people playing some game alone.
totally alone. not the slightest light of teamplay.
nothing anymore.
it already starts to get on the group queue if you try to play with a smaller group.

so many terrible players ..... all just sniping around or dont want to get their paint scratched just pure fails.

I've noticed that more of my games were those
bad games, after 12:00 PST. From like 03:00 PST
to like 08:00 PST, i was getting great games today
barely missed getting ace of spades one game

It's a beauty, I strapped an XL 195 in it, put Endo in, and swapped the MLs, for MPLs. No skills, no unlocks first game I had 7 kills, 4 assists, and 401 damage. It hits so hard I renamed it "Smacker".

Call it a massive oversight on my end. I tend to have very limited funds that I spend on this game (it's the only one that I actually spend money on), so I usually save them for packages. I always wanted to get the TDK, but kept getting distrated by other things, and the fact that the COM-2D is my one true love. I put SRMs in it now, and it is a riot.. I'm genuinely considering removing the ECM to fit bigger launchers.

What the **** is wrong with this game. Elo is crap matchmaker doesnt work. Ttk is way too short. Hit reg doesnt work. And stormcrows have broken hitboxes.

So fed up of the same old reccurring problems and all pgi want to do is add more content.

Hilariously, our TTK is actually longer than in the tabletop. As for stormcrows, it's not that they have broken hitboxes, they have REALLY good hitboxes, accentuated by their funky, bouncy walk. Which makes trying to hit their ST akin to shooting 7 flies with one needle, thrown backwards, while you're blindfolded.

This was the most awesome match ever. Wished i recorded this. Huge brawl! Loved it. I managed to butcher several members of the other team while i was outnumbered with a few others till the last man standing and took again in my own about 3 other mechs with a red cherry CT!

Most. Awesome. Match. Ever.

I guess this is the appropriate place....
I seen PGI had the genius idea that mechs without engines can no longer be selected, you can't actually select them to put a f*****g engine in it so it's no longer invalid.
So i now have several mechs i own but can't use!.
Match Making.....yeah.....elo......yeah, what f*****g nonsense, want to kill your game PGI?, well elo and the current MM WILL do it.

TBH i really wish PGI would call it a day and just move onto something else.

Got my skull violently kicked in by Robinson's Rangers last night at the Battle of Wazan. We just could not catch a break and my internet decided to crap out at the most crucial moment so I lag spiked my last Mech into the middle of an arty strike and died in an ammo explosion of all things, something that never happens with that Mech. Good unit, even if they are a bunch of Dav-Rats who employ internet-cursing voodoo and ammo gremlins

Maybe make sure you are in the mechlab before trying trying to select the invalid mech?

Well then...my whine would be that I've never had 8kills in a match. Have had 7 several times (in a locusts and even in an Adder) but never 8

Argh! This buggy game! Still that problem where not all weapons fire is displayed. Friendlies form a firing line covering a bottleneck. Enemies cross in clear view, but I can only see two of our mechs' weapons fire. However, bug seems to correct itself after enemy gets to cover and starts shooting the friendlies...


(I worry it may be unhealthy to laugh this much at some matches... )
