I think repetition is in order:

It' been only 5 freaking days. Relax. Get a glass. Get laid. Whatever. But please dial your crying down.

Yo OPer*

How about PGI changes LRMs hit mechanics... to the SAME as STREAKS?

This will spread out damage and BALANCE them... IMHO.

Problem Solved... if PGI can do this without Coding Issues! :P

Did you HAVE to run with ACs last week just to stay in the game?

actually, many people felt this way last week.
this is why quickdraw and awesome are seen as garbage mechs, just for the reason you stated.
when AC is king everyone wants it. luckily a nerf is coming which will make energy based mechs compete better

the solution is not to play the game for a few weeks. thanks mystere.

To be fair, the Awesome has really bad hitboxes, and the Quickdraw isn't that great either (but not remotely as bad as the AWS). Plus, the Quickdraw is cursed with being 60 tons, which is a fairly inefficient weight in the Battletech construction system (due to spending more tonnage on an engine than a 55 ton medium, and having to use 1 ton for JJs instead of 0.5 tons like a 55 ton medium does).

it makes little difference, when people are looking to cram more and more "dakka" into mechs that could also take lasers, but nobody does.

like the k2, phract. etc

I used 3 LL (and an AC/10, of course) on my Victor while grinding it pre-patch.... :P

I'd still like to see them break the LRMs into 5 point groups and send them off toward random locations like they do with the SSRM2s. It's not as if they haven't figured out that part of the coding yet.

With this solution spreading damage thru torsotwisting would become next to impossible which works pretty fine atm.

and then you also have the new banshee, of which nobody runs the all energy build, it's considered the worst one.

so no, not just awesome and quickdraw. all energy is at a disadvantage against acs

AWS and QKD aren't all energy, at least not for most variants. They have mixed energy/missiles, which isn't quite up to meta snuff but still quite capable (provided that the chassis using such loadouts have good hitboxes and other traits).

Frankly, that's a decision that needs to be done on an individual basis.

Playing COD is a really poor alternative to getting laid. Don't you think? :P

who said it was an alternative, i talk about the time i'd spend playing games.

in the meantime people should probably run a boat if i understand your post correctly. or just hand free kills to the boats as long as its "shiny"

EDIT: otherwise this sums up mystere's advice:

Bah! I'd rather play strip poker than that monstrosity COD. The former always leads to something better. :P

They were fine before the patch, W T F.

you just negated the entire point of your post.

They most assuredly were NOT doing fine before the patch, if anything they were so incredibly underused that they might as well have been non existent. Most people werent even bringing ams anymore because it was basically pointless.

PGI finally made them viable again. NOT op, not even strong as the dominant meta. But viable.

And people are complaining.

Its disgusting.

If this is true, it should be looked into.

Agree with OP, LRMs were fine, now they are the only weapon worth playing, due to how many easy kills you get with them. LRMs are annihilating everything. Not a game I want o play.
