In this lobby, the creator of the lobby (group leader) will have to invite the rest of the players to fill out the full 24-man match. Inviting a group leader to a private lobby will pull that leader and his group into the Lobby provided there is room.
Russ sees the Lobby as basically just the pre-match screen where you can organize the teams and set the rules for the game.
CLEARLY, this is not the same thing that comes to mind for the rest of us. Many of us were clearly hoping for more, like the ability to see any other groups in the private match side of the game. Hopefully they add something like this down the road, whenever that turns out to be.
It's taken them almost 18 months to realize, "Hey, we should add some functionality to allow specific groups that want to play against each other to do so, without having the chance of matching up against some random team and wasting all of their time, driving them away from the game. In the meantime, let's get working on a great Community Warfare..."
Did you really expect all of your hopes and dreams to be satisfied?
