So this is what happens when a Catapult and a Cataphract have babies?

Underlined and bolded... are these hints at new content in addition to the clan mechs? Sneak-peak at a destination system for clan-invasion and CW? Or is it all there to make it looks interesting?

A good way to guesstimate if its due to perspective. This probably underestimates the true relative size of leg though

Um....sorry but....how do I use/view this to help me with possible perspective. What is this telling me? My brain is not getting it :-) Thanks.

EDIT: Oh I think I get it. You removed the close front leg and only left the one that was inline with the rest which should show true perspective.

You know what, I saw that and thought the same thing. But I figured I was just being overly hopeful, and that maybe they just pulled some flavor text from Sarna.net.

I think you're right though.

I hope its just the camera angle but that looks rubbish! the legs are huge and the torso is well out of proportion. The launchers are wide and shallow, will be a piece of piss to shoot then.

Please don't **** up the most iconic battlemech of all time and one i desperately want to buy but no amount of man maths could ever justify the stupid price.

I don't like it. Sue me.

It actually looks like a Cataphract and Catapult mashed together. Legs and arms look too bulky, and it lacks that bird of prey feel to it.

For a society that is way ahead on the tech curve, this looks more like salvage put back together than the pinnacle of battlemech technology.

To all the leg people: If you check the angle of the camera it's obvious that it is to blame for making the legs seem too big. I wouldn't worry.

The missle pods should be a separate hitbox, anything else is unacceptable. Even with the 2-side knockout needed for the clan XLs it would not take much effort to take this 'mech out of the equation in a comp match. Either make a separate hitbox or make the hitboxes so small on them that they are extremely difficult to hit. I would hate to see the Timberwolf become the laughing failure of the clan community because of lousy video-game hitboxes. Aside from this Huge small rant, I like the art.

I believe that they are going with the separate hitbox, as there have been several screenshots of a glitch that can be seen when the HUD flickers where the ragdoll grows shoulder boxes. I also happen to experience this myself.

Take a midget, strap shoe boxes to his shoulders, then give him the legs of a pro basketball player. Same scaling as this MadCat.

Great artwork. I really like the detail this model holds. The proportion seems a bit off from the concept art, but remember here they are using an inferior focal distance (more wide angled) and the point of view is reversed (slightly from bottom instead of from top). Can't wait for the Stormcrow and Blackhawk.

I am probably the only one but i am not impressed at all with this thing...

I loved the Timberwolf/Mad cat in every MW game it appeared but that thing just looks like the deformed and ******** offspring of a weekend bender.

Timberwolfs to me have ALWAYS been very sleak curved mechs with thin frames this looks like its build with lego blocks.

Im not saying it looks horrible for a mech in general but for a Timberwolf its a letdown.

Take a screenshot of it from the viewpoint of an Atlas and the legs will probably look smaller.

In fact, the whole Mech will...;)
