Regarding the 86.4 kph speed: They just pulled it from the TRO. It should read 81.

A good way to guesstimate if its due to perspective. This probably underestimates the true relative size of leg though

Also; does anyone remember this cataphract screen shot? compared to how it looks in game.

or this jagermech angle (granted the jagermech's leg did come out massive though)

I will join the rest and say that I do not like neither the legs nor the upper arms. The arms are a tad too flat for me, but of course that is just preference, and as for the legs, I feel that they should probably be reduced in size, as from the screens it appears (this may be perspective) that the 'Mech is 2/3 legs and 1/3 killing machine. Just my .02, though. With the criticism out of the way: TIMBER WOLF! ;)

Blowing out the side torso's is going to be fun. How on earth will a timber wolf twist to cover to avoid having one blown out... those things are HUGE. At least the Catapult has them on the arms, and doesn't lose the side torso at the same time.

Granted with a Clan XL and no engine crits you need to kill both sides to bring it down... but I don't really think it'll be able to twist to avoid damage to those things... and the armor there is going to be thinner than the CT... won't kill but will turn a 75ton heavy mech into a 50 ton medium mech pretty quickly.

Don't get me wrong, I want one. I just don't think I'm going to have the want to plunk down the 55$ even for it.

Arms and legs looks huge, don't know if it's the camera but it looks wrong.
Maybe it's because the first Timberwolf i did see was the one in the Mechcommander intro, at 8 years old i frigging loved that mech.

I must be the only one that thinks this, but I genuinly belive it looks horrible! The cockpit / center section seems way too small compared to the legs.

This is in part the effect of the shots' setup. They are done from way below to make the mech more imposing, but it also means that legs look disproportionately big compared to the rest.

Like several others have said it looks like the legs are too long. Other than that I like it.

This thing will be a blast to pilot when it gets released.

Would have liked it better if the arms were higher up, like in the concept art on the Clans page.
(also, the legs are SOOOOO bulky and look bad - esp. compared to the art)

Oh and I would like to take this chance to say: GIVE US THE S variant ! PLEASE !!!

From my understanding though, based on older games, the Timberwolf(MadCat) shouldnt be engaging mechs at close range. The Missile pods scream longrange support with some concentrated fire. Ive always loved the MadCat as well as the Vulture after the MW4 trailer, but the missile pods just dont scream get up close.

Any clanner should be aware that Ill be targeting those Missile POds as they are in the side torso from behind cover with either my Hunchie or Yen Lo with AC20 hehe.

Just Fix the legs and where good http://www.sarna.net...e:MadCat_2.jpeg

Your linked pose is opposite of the one PGI chose. Yours, from the top, minimize the legs while the PGI pose from the bottom emphasizes them. I think they are long as well on the PGI one, but i bet if they gave us a proper head on shot, they would not be as long as we are perceiving them in theses shots.
