I am right there with ya on your statement there about wasting money on this. It looks great, i can even deal with the flamer... but last we were told you cant mess with the engine sizes on these clan mechs which means this thing will be operating at 60% of the speed of a jenner (exact same weight). Theres really nothing good about this mech when you compare it to a Jenner F. very very slow with no jump jets with 30 pin point damage.... compared to a very very fast jenner with jumpjets... and in the hands of a good pilot the jenner also gets 30 pinpoint damage. Furthermore, lets talk role warfare here. Almost any IS medium has the capability to chase this thing down and murder it. Especially the Shadowhawk. There are only two strengths that make piloting a light mech viable. Those are stealth or speed. This has neither.

People complaining about the flamer must not know anything about the Adder. It looks nice.

Oh, I'm aware of that. Pretty much the reason I tend to actively avoid the forums, though I do tend to sink in a few hours a week reading through all the complaints, because masochism or some shit.

Interesting...concept-to-3D is much closer than what they did to the Timber Wolf.

Although I bet they didn't care since OmniLights are probably going to be deathtraps anyways. Might as well make them look puuurdy.

The pictures have a resolution of 5.120 x 2.880 Pixel and are about 10 MB in size. And then they are scaled to ~800 Pixel width. Could you resize the pictures to a proper size? Not everybody has a highspeed internet connection :)

Damn good job. DAMN GOOD JOB! This is what I was hoping for in the Adder. Hell yeah! The fixed flamer addition is fantastic. Useless in this game, but sticks to the actual design on the 'Mech itself.
Design team, thank you for doing a damn good job on this. Now go back and redo the Timberwolf.

Now. Let's see us some STORMCROW Screenies!!

They are just sticking with the design....

Technically, if i understand the way omnis work, you could add 2 additional energy/missile hardpoints - one each in the side torsos from the alt configs, for a total of 2 energy 2 missile, or 3 energy 1 ballistic etc.With clan weapons, that leaves some breathing room.

They haven't. I always though cERPPCs did 13 damage... I hope they retain the damage and range increase over IS PPCs, and just increase heat and recycle time.

Seems like the clan mechs are not being given very many 'extra' hardpoints. The Adder Prime is effectively 2E + 1E (flamer locked)

With this info, I see ZERO reason why anyone would ever use the torsos from the prime, they have no weapons.


I sure how the torso twist is super high as indicated because that is pretty much the only way the adder will be useful. @ 97 kph (107kph with speed tweak) other lights are going to eat it for breakfast.

Oh dear, people are already beginning to complain about how Clan 'Mechs are not superior to IS 'Mechs. Yes, the Adder has fixed weapons, most Clan 'Mechs do. You do not want them, play IS. It is very very simple.
EDIT: Sprouticus, none of the weapons excepting the flamer are locked.

Not how Omni-tech works. Only the flamer and some sinks are locked as part of the Adder's base config.
Everything else is interchangeable, even the arms. So you can take the arms off the Prime config and put in on the B config.
