LAMS is still Level 3 tech at this point in the timeline.

Quick an sloppy size comparison

Thanks for that comparison - it helps put things in perspective a whole lot better.

The pictures have a resolution of 5.120 x 2.880 Pixel and are about 10 MB in size. And then they are scaled to ~800 Pixel width. Could you resize the pictures to a proper size? Not everybody has a highspeed internet connection :)

I completely agree. I thought my browser had crashed - even rebooted my iPad to try to fix it, lol...

This mech looks awesome, but what is it that is so wrong with the timberwolf renders? It looks fine to me. The legs MIGHT be a little long, but it's hard to tell from the screens. Other than that, it looks fine (I even saw a render adjustment someone did to "fix" it, and couldn't tell the difference between the fan render and the original....am I just blind or what?).

That said, the Adder is beautiful and looks like a baby Dire Wolf!. I cannot wait until the invasion begins, and we can bring honor to our clan and defeat to freebirth surats.

Who are you to be calling anyone a Surat? Your use of contractions is embarrassing enough without you throwing stones at others.

Oh, and I completely agree about the Dire Wolf - cannot wait to see that towering beauty!

I know how to get everyone to forget about the flamer.

Anyone here know what the targeting computer does? It has a dynamic weight and appears to weigh 3 tons on the Adder Prime. As far as I know its a Clan Command Console. Can it be removed?

TC has a weight of 1T per 5 tons of direct-fire (energy and ballistic) weaponry tied to it.

i don't know.. it's not too much slower than the dual ERPPC Cicada's i see right now, and those seem to do fine. ditto the many raven's i see running around with dual Large Laser's.

Both of which move a lot faster, usually about 120-140. The stock load out will be too hot to brawl and too slow to run from IS lights and mediums. But I guess that's what the mech lab is for.

I WANT THIS MECH.

I noticed a lot of people complaining how you can't take the flamer off. How about we start complaining for PGI to fix the flamer to make it useful? Flamer fix anyone?

...Anyone? Okay :)

It computes your targets? :) Nah probably useless since the command console is too (it will be given a use soon™, said PGI soo many months ago).

I am tired of just new mechs and nothing else significant since closed beta PGI (I forgot to mentione crappy UI2, sorry).
No preorder or any other money for you until I see promised game development.

I think it's some mesh for Targeting Computer lens/camera/whatsoever.

I know the rules for how its weight works, thank you though. I meant how will it function in MWO.

The Adder doesn't seem to me to be intended as scout like the Jenner and the other IS mechs currently in the game; looking at the various configurations it seem it's suppose to be basically a pocket Catapult.

By my interpretation, the clans really didn't rely too heavily on "scouts" anyway. Just looking at their 'Mechs alone tells me this: We don't need scouts. If we find you, we will kill you. Just like Liam Neeson. And even these "slug" Clan Lights as I've heard them called for their "inferior" speed will rip apart you IS Assault Jockies in no time flat and take more of a punch than a silly Spider.

I'm on the band of: The arms are way too damned beefy, the legs are the right length, but not angled properly and are definitely too beefy as well. It needs a total overhaul from top to bottom, save for the torso.

First off - very nice design!

But second - Hm let me see:
Prime variant of Adder will get boxy belly while standard adder will get more sexy slim belly.
Prime variant of Stormcrow will probably get crappy humanoid hands while standard Stormcrow will get sexy claws.
http://i.imgur.com/y2yGMbE.jpg
http://abload.de/img/ryokenrsp3c.png

Plus none of the Prime variants will be able to change its color pattern, so no parade colors of your unit and no appropiate camo!

Dear PGI, is my tinfoilhead theory that you actually want to punish and scare away paying customers making more sense by the day? :D

Why no option to toggle on/off fuggly design options in mechlab on those "special designs" people paid for?
Why no option to change camo pattern on those "special pattern" mechs people paid for?
:D

please examine the number of hardpoints. You are counting the CT, but you cannot remove that worthless flamer, so 2 energy isn't going to be enough.....ever....

You seem to be under the impression that they designed this mech themselves, or in-house. sorry but this game actually Battletech (online); the configuration is canon load-out.
