Liao is the underdog. Liao is the most resilient of all the Great Houses. Through the centuries no other House has withstood the beatings dished upon her from those who jealously covet her riches, and yet we stand strong, defiant, and eager to demonstrate that resilience. "That which does not kill you only makes you stronger" should be etched into the DNA or every Liao citizen.

What those foolish outsiders don't understand, and shall never understand, is that Liao's GREATEST treasure is her citizens. Nowhere else in the Inner Sphere will you find more dedication, more selfless loyalty, more faith in their brothers and sisters than in House Liao. Other houses breed loyalty through fear or bribery or some false sense of comraderie. Capellans are born to serve, and do so without fear or reservation. Liao is the ONLY house where citizenship is NOT a right of birth. Liao citizenship is a benefit which must be earned.

It's not an easy road. It's not always the most popular road. But you will never walk it alone, and there's always something to shoot at.

We are Liao.

You would be smart to choose House Liao as we are very devoted to our comrades in this house and will support you and your thoughts and views on and off the battlefield..Unlike the other greedier, richer, larger houses whom only care about themselves and when they're next expensive meal is going to be served to them. We are always on the frontlines together in time of battle, and during the occasional quieter times, waiting in the shadows for the enemy whom are usually counting they're c-bills and blindly steering they're giant machines into our waiting open jaws of death..

Sadly, it appears he was led to the other decieving house.. who will only supply him with useless tools and false promises. All we can do is keep our arms open for him if and when he returns here to us. He will learn quickly how all the other larger houses are all self centered and thoughtless primates..

I will chose house Liao because all long term mechwarrior players know house Kurita are the baddies ... I might play Kurita just to make sure the world knows what evil is. But Liao is my first choice.

I would take the long sword or the mechwarrior equal is called a vibro-blade. It's effective against most mech armour, human armour and rabbits and my little ponies and other cute things!

The Question: "Why should I choose House Liao" translates to me to "Why should I be the right hand to a bunch of insane oppressors, warcriminals and villains ?"

Or: "Its more fun to be evil"

No seriously, the values that are fancied by the Capellan state are all well and nice....but....
Its like socialism, it sounds good and fair but in reality it turns to oppression and general lack of personal freedom and human rights. The late members of House of Liao weren't pleasant leaders and the losses of the 4th succession wars made them even worse.

I chose Liao mainly due to the fact all the other houses are very religious while Liao is very atheist like i am and Liao allows for greater self improvment compared to the nobility dominated other houses, i also love history and while Kurita and Steiner also have too histories i love(japan and germany) i do love chinese history so all in all they resonated with me the most
