Simple if we chose to PuG and don't wish to feed the pre mades free wins through the following problems

*They know how each other play
*They can pick a really strong mech combination
*They have all the advantages that come with voice communication.

Give PuGs the choice to opt out of facing pre made teams. If your fine with facing pre mades wonderful, If not opt out.

This creates a fairer environment for all , The only people I'm hestitant to make this post because of are the ones that will go mental at this suggestion making any excuse they can to defend the "Target practice cannon fodder PuGs they've fed on for so long"

pugs are a valuable asset to this TEAM game, good groups and good pugs find ways to work together. it isn't all about target practice like you suggest. i say if pugs want a pug only que give them a 24 man free for all death match as they don't want to be on a team. leave the team play for the pugs and groups who want to work together

Also, I want to clarify. I'm not some antisocial, basement dwelling, soon-to-be-going-postal hermit. I've done the serious raider thing in WoW, I have been on comms with hundreds of other people in fleet fights in EVE (the kinds of fights that are so big they crash the node).

But I'm tired of that whole thing. I just want something casual where I can drop for 5, 3 or even just 2 matches a night in between talking to my girlfriend and spacing out on smurfy. I don't see why I, or people like me, should be sacrificed on the altar of game design just to appease a different demographic.

People talk about split queues, but if there are as many people clamoring for groups, as is claimed, then maybe the population can handle it. Hell, we can loosen up the Elo parameters if necessary, since comms and coordinated builds can be a force multiplier. Either way, like Roadbeer said, I think more people would be happier with a longer wait for a match if it meant one that was more tailored to their desires.

Hell, I'm already used waiting several minutes (I've timed it) before matchmaker vomits something up. What's one minute more?

I've had enough myself now I'm done getting angry at people through it i'm done playing, I lasted under 3 weeks at this game fact is I started completely bad, I've got to a point I'm okay I can do 200-600 damage generally with a few kills /assists

But then comes the time of day when all the premades come on which are completely fair fights against PuGs according to some, And I continuously get fights where my 200-600 damage go's to 0-150 if I'm lucky . Yeah all day long I'm hitting 200-600 but the premades come along and I take a massive stumble. That's me not the fact that it clearly isn't fair putting pre mades against pugs.

Well I cant play when I want to so I wont at all. Guess I represent yet another new player lost . If premades are removed from my solo drops I may return until then no chance. I'd like to add for PGI's benefit I didn't spend anything does that make my point invalid no, because the only thing stopping me all the times I wanted c-bills or a mech was how bad matchmaking was.

I thought wow I really want that but hang on a minute if I give them a dime i'm condoning this , no thanks.

This game does not have enough users to split the queue like that.

Then I like many other new players wont stay long and will stay gone. The guys looking to farm "noobs" they'll be mad they cant do it anymore but they'll stay they've got a lot more invested in the game, New p[layers you want to royally shaft them they have no reason to stay. Its as simple as that.

That's because PUG-stomping premades (as opposed to the non-"evil" premades) chased away a lot of PUG players who got sick and tired of being curb-stomped again and again. What you're saying is now the population just the right size to be a private game reserve where premades can hunt PUGs and get a new supply of prey every month of people wanting to try it out, but it's too small to have separate queues to protect the PUGs. Yeah, I can see that...

^ Until theres no new players left coming then. The guys that stomped the PuGs will leave and blame PGI for the collapse of the game , The beautiful irony.

most premades are long gone in this game. Because the Devs are terrible at implementing any kind of long lasting warfare and proved incapable of doing so.

84 percent of all players are solo droppers. That means 84 percent of all stomps are due to other factors.
Quit blaming the boogeyman and sack up.

I find it hard to believe that only 16% of the population could do that. Seeing as though 84% of all players (according to some whacked out stats) drop solo.

That puts us at 1 premade per match.

I still 100% support a solo only queue. Its actually better for the game and overall a far more consistent and fun experience for all involved.

Wanting to have casual fun with friends is valid, unfortunately it leaves the door open to "gaming" the system and crapping on everyone elses experience.

idk all i know is that the MM seems to set me up the bomb in a really unsavory way.

i dont pretend to understand the logic behind it but it does seem as tho winning is in streaks and losing is in streaks.

and idk my elo is its probably horrible because by my estimates i only get about 5 wins for every 10+ defeats (best case scenario)

i should empiricaly record matches more to show but just tonight ive already lost 6 matches and won 1. and only 2 of those games i was one of the first to die (one of those my team won, without me), the last 5 i was at least the third man last standing. so i dont thinks on account of my runnin in and just dying on my team (altho i do that alot when im havin a bad day lol).

not every game is 12-0 GG. but this last one was 12-3 loss, idk about you but thats still pretty ****** horrible on my teams part. so ya...... idk.

thats probably what the OP is really getting at this horrid MM that just does not understand how to pair players together, it doesnt help that it doesnt consider loadout and we can get into all the "ECM WARRARRSSSS OP!! ANGER!" or "PPC's ALL I SEE IS PPC!" or "EVIL PREMADES WITH THIER DPS BS! ARRRRGGGGGGGGG MY PREMADE SUCKS TO YOUR PREMADE!" i do see alot of imbalances in that
regard.

"WHICH ONE OF YOU EVIL PREMADES ATE MY BABY! I DEMAND YOUR BACON!"

honestly its the MM tho, it needs to consider loadouts and mech levels (IE does one team all have mastered mechs with modules?) doenst balance things like arty against eachother, like when you see 5-6 arties explode half your team, and for some reason your team has zilche.

again i blame MM its pretty ****** horrid and shouldnt actually be part of the game in my OP.

all games should be pre-planned at this point like lol cuz everygame feels like someone else is rolling your dice on the craps table lol.

I would nothing more than to get a separate que so we do not have to endure the pain of having to drop with the "solo" population who feel the need to waste our time by running in baulz deep the 1st 2 mins of the game to only die. Trust me, us "evil premades" would love to rid you of our game just as much as you of us. Everyone knows about the napa valley wine fest you guys throw about us so enough already. Maybe I will start crying daily about how bad we hate you also so we can get our way...

In my experiences, premades, (at least on the NA server) don't coordinate the way you think.

What you think is happening;
Premade Scum 1: Ok, we have 12 AC5s and 4 ERPPCs between us. How can we squeeze in more DPS?
Premade Scum 2: Why do we have guys in heavies? Go assault or go home.

Whats actually happening;
Premade Scum 1: Did you guys catch the UK / Wisconsin game?
Premade Scum 2: Basketball sucks.
Premade Scum1: Eat a ****, you suck.
Premade Scum 3: You both suck, you're in Atlai with XL's and streaks.

Is this supposed to make people more or less comfortable with the idea of joining groups? Because if I got stuck playing with a group with that level of maturity, you can bet I'd only make that mistake once...

EDIT: I don't really see the evil premade pugstomps like I did in beta... it just doesn't happen to me. I DO see myself matched with people who are WAY more skilled than I am. I'm pretty sure that the Elo system operates under such wide parameters that it's more or less ineffective for all practical purposes.

I again say remove the pugs from the team based game. Give you a damn single player mode so you can derp it up and feel special all day long. While telling tales to ya friends how you beat up on all those stompy bots all by ya lonesome.

Don't want to feel special I just want to be put in a fight I had a decent chance of winning. Seriously, its best all round premades can only face premades , Then the PuG's get a fair fight , And the pre mades have to actually use skill to win not stomp the un co-ordinated PuGs, A pre made can never walk away from a win against a PuG with any feeling of accomplishment not in any rational gamers mind.

SINGLE PLAYER MODE. enough said... There is absolutely no reason to join a team based multiplayer game to think that the only fair way to play it is to not communicate, coordinate, or know what the hell everyone is doing. plain silly

The premades know each other pick 4 mechs that work well together communicate over comms , The PuGS have to rely on 11 other people listening , don't have the advantage of knowing how each other play , cant communicate in a split second , and cant pick the mech's they each have , This is bad enough in alone to justify a pug never having to face a pre made ever.... combine it with the ELO system its a joke PuGs are forced into the slaughter house. It's sad for the most part I liked this game saw it as having potential but this issue makes everything else irrelevant if I'm going to get shafted in the main point of the game (battling) there's no point playing. I'm done now PGI I implore you to move pre mades out of the PuG que it may take time but leaving it how it is now will hurt you I can almost guarantee it.

Yep. That's how it often is in Seraphim premades... minus any cussing and badmouthing. But generally gamers are gamers. Strategy discussions end up like this:

Kjudoon: Terra Derpa guys. How we wanna handle this?

Hammerheadcrush: I'll go find em for you, so you can LRM them to death.

DTim913: Sounds good by me.

Heavy Head: Hey Kjudoon, I got 4 ERLLs going here on my laserboat. They won't know what hit em. It's going to be snipe-tastic!

Kjudoon: Hammerhead, sounds good, but remember, priority one is staying alive. You're good in that Commando, but not always invicible.

Heavy Head: Now we don't know that yet.

DTim913: <laughs> We going into the PUG Zapper, then?

Kjudoon: Are ya TRYING to drive me crazy? Noooo!!

DTim913: <chuckles knowingly>

Kjudoon: Okay, let's run the D line out to the 4 line and start looking for trouble.

Heavy Head: Don't forget to remind them to lock targets!

HammerheadCrush: Rodger!

<><><>

Tada! What goes on in a typical Seraphim premade as I've been in them. Conversation then devolves into random insanity as it floats by our brains till shots are fired and we start calling targets and locks.
