Riiiight. Because if it were $20 everyone would want one.

Not sure about everyone but gold isn't my color. Now if it were silver or platinum then maybe at 50$

Funny, I saw the Phoenix colors and I swear they looked just like the PC Gamer colors.

You may have a form of colorblindness, however slight. It's alright, 7-10% of males suffer from some form of colorblindness. If you're Caucasian, it's more toward 10%.

I would note that Star Citizen is not a "First", rather it's the highest profile. And I wouldn't consider it a "success" yet either until they actually put out a game... which, a year and a half after their kickstarter ended, they still don't even have anything playable other than a garage/hangar in which you can only look at your ships.

Their communication is much better. This is why they still have a rocksolid fanbase.

I dont blame PGI not for miscommunicating. But their updates on the whole proces needs to be improved.

Wouldn't it make more sense to walk relatively close so that he catches all bullets otherwise directed at you, too? :D

So much shiny instant target on target list

It's better to die shiny than never ever having shined.

If there were just no "complete" pack below the whole gold mech thing I would spend 100$ for a golden Nova.

I see the Founder and Overlord tags on you, means you bought into this "crap" too. I for one am happy to see a Mechwarrior game AT ******* ALL, regardless of how "bad" it may seem. Ya its been 2 years of the same thing, but Rome wasn't build in a day, and no game isn't made overnight.

And you were so happy when Living Legends came out you... ignored it?

Ok, so allow me to retort

yes!

Yes :D

YES :P

No, I want improvements but i apparently am MUCH more patient than others cause I've only been *really* playing since January. And I periodically send feedback, suggestions, requests through the trouble desk.

Yup

Yes!

[/size]
Yes :P

No, I'm just patient. I've also told them to keep adding features, working on CW, adding more mechs and suggesting alternate play modes

Man if they were to do something that upsets even YOU, I would know this game if ******. ^_^ I will be watching you closely from here on.

Its the "PGI Bike Rack Special" that was first seen on the Project Phoenix cbill boost variants, at least this time the difference between the psuedo-hero variants and the standards also includes some extra geometry changes that most people can notice. Why does pgi insist on bike racks to begin with? We may never know, but is theorized that the departments are not paid equally and while russ is riding to work in a DeLorean the 3D modeling crew travel to work in packs of bicycles like miniature Tour De Canada marathons and the ingame racks are their way of protesting with out angering their overlord russ.

People are still going on in this? Wow...... any who.....

So, people have been wanting to know what certain items do, such are the Targeting Computer, and the War Horn. WHile honestly I have no clue, you ready for it, I have a theory/idea.

Targeting Computer:

This I see them working one of two ways. First, they use it like an auto-aim system, which would anger more people than anything, but could help new players. Second, they work it so that it locks energy weapons onto targets, much like LRMs SSRM. Now, run with me for a moment here, energy weapons are direct fire, and would require the arms to move (if the weapons are mounted there, as they would be in the picture of the Golden Targets they are showing), since missiles can change direction in flight. Now, if you are still with me, good. So, back on the arm moving thing. Since energy weapons are direct fire, this would help if you wanted to track two targets. So while you turned to look at one target, the arms (if that's what the targeting computers use) could follow another target, of course for a set time. I suspect it would lose a lock after you lose sight, much like a LRM or SSRM.

Just to keep on topic in the thread, that could explain why the Timber Wolf's arms are pointing in two directions.

War Horn:

I really only see this working as an accessory item. It may either be used (when attached to a mech of your choice) to create a Battle Horn like sound when you get a kill. Much like the music that plays when you kill an enemy with Heavy Metal.

Or

It could sound at the start of a match, to warn other players that your team has Clan Mechs in it's ranks. Sort of like an intimidation thing.

These are just my ideas/Thoughts on what the two devices could be , or who they would work.
As for the Golden Mechs being a completely different variant, that could be possible, because from the details they have stated about the Alpha Variant of the Timber Wolf (Mad Cat for those in the IS), it didn't say a thing about a Targeting computer, unlike the War Hawk (then again if it works the way I stated, I would put one on it, especially with four er PPCs).

Now, I would be more than happy to rip the TC (targeting computer) out of my War Hawk (and yes I bought the top tier for clan mechs, but just couldn't bring myself to double up for a gold painted mech.) , and put it in my Timber Wolf. If that is even possible.

I bet the marketing for MWO would be far less stupid if the people actually making the game had a say in it. You could sell overpriced cosmetics to a few people who could afford it or you could sell actual improvements on the game to what I assume is a much larger majority. The problem I'm seeing is there's more of this marketing nonsense happening than anything else. I can't help but feel that the money could be used in better ways, like maybe hiring new hands to work on the game. In any case, I haven't been here all that long but I can see the marketing blunders and false announcements are still a sore spot here.

And btw, don't tk. Please. Focus fire the enemy shinies, but don't tk.

After further review the ruling on the field is reversed.
Kudoes to the players who can donate to the cause.
I will not go that far my family goes first then...
Saying this we expect to hear more other good news.
Maybe if they had in between packages say 300 400 500; Bronze, Silver, Gold
packages would have made others more able to get in on things!
I suspect the sales would have been much higher.
More over, community issues could have been lightened.

Come on give us worlds to take with an Iron Fist.

Long Live MechWarrior,

This is pretty much how Russ and/or Paul have described the War Horn on Twitter, months ago.

Meh a baddeal for that price, I just bought the 240 clan package and feel like there was some decent value in it, dont have to grind and wait a very long time to try the clan mechs at least this way.

LOL! That is precious. No game yet but they are doing better... omg. PGI made a game, it is totally playable, and all they get is reamed for everything they ADD... Unbelievable really.

Gamers, the new breed indeed. :D

Hmmm...is it just me, or does the Timber Wolf in the picture have its arms pointing in separate directions?

What did you expect from a mech called "MadCat"?
