Gold mechs was a terrible idea, pretending they are limited is however a clever marketing scheme to catch those impulse buyers.
I feel like pay $500 to unlock all paint in the game would be more profitable.

Will not be spending that much for that big of a target and a very visible one too, but would gladly pay for new maps. Been 5 months now, we get candy mechs, candy paint jobs, just candy lately.

When we gonna get the main course? When is CW coming out (with more then 10 maps to cover the some hundreds of different worlds we should be playing on)?

Already feel my previous purchases have not helped you get this game going, debugged, etc.

I'll be waiting for PGI to make changes that profit the whole community, this might make me want to BUY into the future of a GREAT game.

Laughable! I spent just over $200 on SC and only plan to make about $60 in transactions a year on SC. $500 on this game is just a mistake!



I do wonder if we get a bonus for killing them though?

Should be an achievement, much like the one you get for killing a Phoenix mech in a non Phoenix mech.

It'll be like the ultimate form of team ECM. Gold mech running around... nobody will even NOTICE the 11 other mechs surrounding you as they stream in one by one to try to kill you.

Still looks too leggy to me. It's not a horrible Timber Wolf, but it's definitely no where near the top of my favorites list.

I can see why people are...... complaining about the Gold mechs. I bought the highest tier, Warhawk, because I wanted to and felt the urge to support the game. I hope they will actually use the money to fix bugs, and implement what they have promised. But doubling up for just a gold painted version of what I will already have..... sorry but no. Granted I did ponder it for a moment to be honest. I mean the concept is cool, just not for that much.

Now people also have to remember that we are also getting more than just the mechs. They are also throwing in other stuff to, for the people that bought the tiers already, which is cooler than a shiny target in my mind.

As for a limited amount of a digital product, it is possible, but as stated before, is more of a limited time kind of thing. For example, if you pre-order a game such as, oh, say Halo (yes I am an ODST fan boy). those have a digital object that you can use, that is in limited quantity. So, what I think they mean in saying that there is only 50 (49 since someone said they just bought one) is that they had some goal set as to the amount they wanted to sale/hoped to sale, and are possibly 50 (49) away, and that they have decided to make that the cut off point. Or, possibly they didn't wish to state that it was limited in number because people would get up in arms about it. I have no Idea, its just my guess.

As for people that have bough the Golden shields of happiness, I have no problem with them being on my team. It's their money, not mine, and I have a feeling they will be taking all the AC40 Jager shots to the face that would normally be intended for the moron charging head long into them, A.K.A. me.

I just want my Timber Wolf and Summoner.....

No thanks. I may buy the T-Wolf and Nova for $100 combined, maybe... But I can't see spending $500 for shiny when $500 can get you something significant and tangible..

Of those 50 left, that's $25,000 you guys are looking to make on something that's already been modeled and a reskin.

Knowing how 3D modeling works, I KNOW it didn't take $25,000 in company resources to make the T-Wolf, all of it's variants and all of it's reskins combined...

Sorry for the double post but just fell out of my chair laughing. But, if people stopped spending so much of their ' disposable 'income on loser items like this, we would have a lot better choices than we do now.

No, it's 500$ for a mech collection who include all the 8 prime chassis with ALL the variant who will be available right at the start.
That alone make already 8 premium mech that will be able to give you a lot's of c-bill money.

AND then you'll have a golden mech who is ALSO premium and got a complete unique skin and who won't be available ever again.
