Well it's obviously WRONG or just a guess, because even the adress is completely false, the real adress is:

Vancouver, BC V6B 6N9
Canada

While your source stated

I would think they would be doing better financially. More players are playing than 2 years ago.

Um, 2 years ago, they hadn't even started letting in the Founders... so yeah, there are more players now than were in early Closed Beta :)

There are more players now than there were 4 years ago too, and the population over 10 years ago is absolutely stunning.

If you want me to stop mocking you when you say something stupid, you're going to have to stop saying stupid things.

Yeah, a gold mech ... instant target gratification for everyone not in a gold mech.

After that you have the Masakari pack which is 280 USD. Now that isn't a bad price but to buy the gold khan mech or any gold khan mech it is simply over priced because it is another 220 USD addition for one mech (this math excludes the monetary value of the addition stuff and is just the mechs). That is why it no matter what is over priced.

Now some one suggested T-Shirts, Coffee Cups, and other stuff (actual stuff not digital) and that I wouldn't mind buying. Again though not for 500 USD. So where is that stuff? Why is everything put into one mech for 220 USD? The 280 USD package isn't bad because heck it is 10 USD a mech which is great price when you look at cost of other hero mechs.

Gold mech owners won't make it onto my in game hit list.

I will try to support any of them I see and ensure they have a positive in game experience.

Some forum posters may earn a coveted spot on my hit list, though.

If they actually played the game and didn't just log in to the forums to air grievances.

Hahaha.

edit - I can't believe people are playing low quality games like titan fall. Madness.

I hate to beat on the dead horse but PGI is not allowed to make physical merchandise for MW:O. Their license strictly prohibits them from doing that.

Lesser price tag? The game is free, it doesn't get lesser than that.
As for the packages, you can choose to buy them or not.

They say money can't make you happy and won't buy you fiends: but if your unhappy and have no friends, can't hurt to try!

'Make a good product and the money will come'. That's something the 'suits' (aka publisher/investors) will never get. Something that's hard to measure, maybe even impossible to measure. And something that requires faith. Faith in your own product. But I think faith is a very rare commodity in the world of business, money and investment. Bankers have no soul, they have calculators.

The irony, is that according to Paul in the Mechs Devs and Beer 15 podcast in the IGP--errr NGNG show-thingy, marketing and thus all the sales, the packages including the clan nonsense, is all handled by IGP and not PGI. Which actually makes sense, the publisher is always looking to make more money out of it investment while doing relatively little.

Btw if you're interested in hearing the most concrete stuff about Clan weaponry changes, head there. Community at the top of the page. Wait for the soundcloud box to load.

Really they can't make merchandise off of their product with the MWO logo? I can understand the mechs and that stuff but ...

I know for a fact they can't make anything with Battletech or Mechwarrior on it. Now Mechwarrior:Online might be a different thing, so they might be able to make MW:O shirts. I do know they should be able to make PGI shirts and things like that. However, people are here for the battletech stuff, not the PGI Icon.

I'll need to fish out that section of their license.

So Warthunder actually pays you to play their game? PGI has actually given out mechs and mechbays in the past, the trial mechs are now champion variants rather than stock and the cadet bonus will give you enough Cbills to buy and upgrade at least one mech. What actually costs money in MWO that is necessary for you to play the game?

What irritates me most is that the actual asset is of extremely high quality. You'd be an idiot to say that timberwolf DIDN'T look good, BUT a game cannot be built on quality art alone. Every moment PGI dodders around the fact that they are failing to deliver key components as promised (2-12 sized groups, lobbies, etc) and focuses instead of flash like this is a moment PGI no longer has to right this ship. Now make no mistake, I understand that the teams building mechs and maps dont intersect with CW teams, but ultimately this problem falls to PGI's leadership. Russ and Bryan have to take responsibility and do what must be done, and Paul has to start listening to people AND create REAL designs, instead of cherrypicking who he responds to on social media and taking short cuts in his designs, shortcuts which are ultimately going to cost PGI this game.

PS: I should add that simple changes such as broadened weapon convergence (mitigates sniping meta) and tweaked heat scale (effectively solves ghost heat) would make the game HEAD OVER HEELS BETTER and require not much more than XML doc edits.

Bigger changes would include making autocannons fire bursts instead of single slugs (mitigates front loaded damage), reducing pulse laser burn time (greater accuracy), turning PPC damage into limited splash damage (reduces front loaded damage), giving LBX ACs alternate ammo types or turning the cluster into an aero-bomb flak cannon, and widening weapon convergence when many weapons are fired at once (mitigates alpha strikes).

They're not complex changes, but everyone needs to get behind them and SHOW PGI that THIS is what we need right now, not sparkly mechs.
